Discussion: EPA: Superfund Task Force Created By Pruitt Didn't Maintain Any Records

This one is going to be a long, drawn-out mess that Pruitt shouldn’t have directed people to lie about so brazenly. If they didn’t produce anything but the final report, then 107 staffers and who knows how many outsiders would be an obvious misappropriation of funds, and an outside lawsuit could recover some of those funds on behalf of the government. There would be discovery.

And that’s assuming there’s no IG on it.

Also too I only paid attention to what the Bernie Facebook pages were telling me about her so she didn’t inspire me enough. She is a corporatista right?!?!

There will be no paper trail for even an internal IG to follow.

Method in Pruitt’s paranoid madness. I bet he’s using Signal on his phone, too.

"…the task force had no agenda for its meetings, kept no minutes and used no reference materials.

Further, there was no written criteria for selecting the 107 EPA employees the agency says served on the task force or background materials distributed to them during the deliberative process for creating the recommendations.

According to EPA, the task force also created no work product other than its final report."

The no-bid consultants had already written the ‘final report’.

A government operating in secrecy has something to hide, QED.

“Pruitt’s plan for cleaning up toxic sites was apparently immaculately conceived, without the usual trappings of human parentage,”

As an attorney, I can tell you right now without any doubt in my mind that he was so happy to have the opportunity to write that analogy and use that turn of phrase he was probably vibrating in his chair. We live for the opportunity to throw shit like that in a pleading (and in the opposition’s face) and that one is just plain old fucking brilliant.

Basically what Cheney did with his Energy task force.

The Nazis got into a lot of trouble, too, because of excellent record keeping of their operations.

Funny, this looks like exactly the best-practices model Mnuchin used to generate his “report” on the likely impact of the tax bill…
