Discussion: Embattled Trump Inaugural Committee Failed To Disclose Key Finances To IRS

I believe @tena will have something to say about this…

Maybe this is one reason the IRS is so dramatically underfunded.

It takes a lot more time and effort to audit large, complex accounts. So without adequate resources the IRS goes after all those little accounts, like yours and mine, instead of the big ones where monsters like Trump get away with B.S. like this.

So keep the IRS too poor to function, and keep Trump and company richer than he and they deserve to be.

It’s still all about the money. What his is his, and what’s mine is his too.

rascal, surely you are not saying Mother looked – frumpy?

I think she was trying to find a blue counterpoint to Melania’s white dress, but…

Maybe she was trying to keep Pence’s eyes off the pornstar next to Trump?

See what happens when a good, simple, Midwestern housewife tries to compete with a foreign she-devil?

That’s really the fundamental question for everything this incompetently corrupt administration does, isn’t it?

In doing so, the tax return that the committee filed with the IRS obscured a key metric of how it raised its record $106.7 million.

Obscured. I like that.

If we go back and look at the way the Tramp Trast was run, it fits with their MO. Anyone seen Allen Weisselberg, “the only kind of [person] I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

and I see that @daled beat me to the idea.

It’s normal for presidents to “age” during their time in office due to the passage of time, but more so because the demands of the job are incredibly high. Trump, though, doesn’t actually do much in the way of the job. The effort other presidents put into the job, Trump fritters away in “executive time” (watching TV, calling up buddies), tweeting and rallies. He probably considered yesterday a hard day because he got in the car, traveled 2.3 miles, spent 2 min at the MLK memorial, got back in car and returned to the While House. Exhausting! No, I think his rapid ageing has to do with the stress of having his multitude of crimes exposed, and, god forbid, being held responsible for them.

Remember when this kind of story ALONE would have taken down a president? Let’s hope to return to that world after the Mueller report.

Perhaps Jim Jeffries could sing this on his show.

Thanks, rascal, I thought the same thing ( as a member of the same club). It’s like those “Do’s and dont’s” pictures in the old Glamour magazines.

“Overrated”???

How about “Feckless”? “Criminally negligent”? “Asleep at the wheel”?

About the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, the damage has already been done. The failure to acknowledge or adhere to the law in any way is now precedent. Any future President can simply point to Trump’s shenanigans as “precedent”, and ignore all profit-by-POTUS schemes for at least two years, ignoring all shrieks to the contrary.

The damage may not be reversible.

I’ll take “may be hiding some transgression” for $800."
