Discussion: Elizabeth Warren To Campaign For Senate Candidate In West Virginia

Discussion for article #224245

Does this mean that Warren’s message has resonance?

Can we please buy her a bandwagon large enough for every Democrat in Congress to jump aboard?

This tells a real story! If the candidate in W. VA believes Warren is a real asset–then she is an asset everywhere for the Democrats. Time for her to be our 2016 nominee.

Senator Warren’s here in Kentucky next weekend, I think, for Alison Lundergan Grimes.
Unless you are a billionaire recently returned to Earth from a galaxy far, far away or Asia, of course, Senator Warren has resonance…

We’ll be delighted to have you, Sen. Warren.

Oh, and of course, Elizabeth would have the same megaphone as a presidential candidate.

She’s kicking ass in the Senate. Why can’t you just let her do her thing there.

What I like about Warren, and why she should appeal to Democrats in Red states, is she’s an economic liberal not a gay marriage liberal or an abortion liberal or a gun liberal.

Most of the Democrats in Congress are social liberals not economic liberals. And that’s why they’re next to worthless.

Let’s peruse her 2014 coat-tails first. And remember, she has taken herself out of the 2016 race.

Remember this is the logical extension of Howard Deans 50 state strategy. Democrats ought to contest every red or purple state and congressional district even if they are defeated.

When Liz decides to run for President, I plan to be out on the street working for her. That’s a promise, Liz, and there’s no one other than Bernie Sanders to whom I would swear such fealty.

Righto. Get the message (Warren’s, not party central’s) message out there.

I think the candidate in West Virginia, a coal-industry stooge out-stooged only marginally by her opponent, is looking to reestablish some affinity with Democrats in the state who are frustrated that they can’t find a candidate who’ll stand up to the destruction wrought by the coal industry.

Unfortunately for her, she’s down by double digits. Given she has little chance to win on her current path, it’s just too bad she doesn’t have the guts to take a stand for the vast majority of people of West Virginia who are not affiliated with the coal industry.

Mountains are being leveled, people are being poisoned by the dust, and the planet is heading towards catastrophe, and these 21st century Neros can’t elbow each other out of the way fast enough to play fiddle for the coal barons.

Thanks to a modicum of political fortitude, attitudes towards gay marriage have taken a sharp turn towards justice. Perhaps you didn’t get the memo.

Moreover, even a majority of NRA members support improving the process of background checks, not to mention the public in general. And abortion is guaranteed as part and parcel of a woman’s right to privacy by the Constitution, and is not negotiable until the right wing fascists on the Supreme Court institute sharia law.

Next to useless? I’d say thank the imaginary invisible sky deity they’re around, and not crumbling in the face of the right wing onslaught.
