Discussion: Earnest: 'Outrageous' For Chaffetz To Threaten To Subpoena Ethics Chief

It is difficult to be too critical of Chaffetz because this behavior comes naturally to him. To bully, intimidate, show false indignation, bend the truth. Just like in the old days at Nu Skin–the training school for his current gig.

Chaffetz is doing well at making us forget that there ever was a Darrell Issa.

OT: Penthouse magazine offered a $1M bounty on the Trump sex videos and has received three claims (so far).

I mention this because if it turns out to be true, little Jason Shittfitz is gonna have some serious ‘splainin’ to do to the nation. He’s playing a very dangerous game carrying (golden) water for somebody as nefarious and pathological as Hair Furor.

While I hope it pans out, I will be somewhat disappointed, in a way. The ultimate, in my book, would be if the coup de gras was delivered by heroic First Amendment defender and infamous smut peddler Larry Flynt.

Can you imagine how entertaining it would be for Larry to announce this “revelation” in his inimitable, rambling drawl? Oh, be still my heart.

Let us hearken back for a moment, shall we?

“I happen to like oranges.” — Larry Flynt

I’ll take option 3.

Here’s the video of Chaffetz declaring that funding for securing U S Embassy’s around the world have to be cut, barely a month after the Benghazi attacks of Sept 11,2012!

  1. Thank you for leading with a shot of Earnest and not Chaffetz; his face literally makes me involuntarily retch.
  2. I hope this story never dies, if only because I want the phrase “Wholly Inadequate” to stick like one of Trump’s crappy nicknames. “Wholly Inadequate PeePeePrez” would work for me.

By the end of this year sh*t like this will not be outrageous,it will be the norm.

We’ll have to trust that there are enough Republican senators and members of congress who don’t trust the capricious Donald Trump. Trump’s lack of knowledge about basic law and how our government works is stunning – not to mention his eagerness to embrace conspiracy theories.

Of course, Trump may end up being a hands-off president who simply likes the pomp, the foreign leaders visiting, and the White House dinners. And of course his love of making long, rambling speeches.

Thing is, this guy is sharp edged and takes ethics seriously, and I’m thinking there’s a good chance he’s going to going to chew that that sick joke about foxes guarding the henhouse Chaffetz up and spit him out. (Yeah, I mixed four, count 'em metaphors. Do I win a prize? Because, if I do, I’d really like one of the beautiful new hundred dollar 1 oz .9999 fine gold coins with a black Lady Liberty on the heads side that’s giving all the totally not racist rightwing assholes a major case of hemorrhoids today. It’s just the most gorgeous coin-like thing thing we’ve minted in ages. Plus, epic totally not racist butthurt.)

Earnest is usually not quite so blatant about calling people out…I guess the No Fucks Left To Give mood has spread to the rest of the Obama administration.

The Republicans really are going to try to remove all the ethics oversight of the government…I honestly can’t believe they are stupid enough to try that. The big question is if their voters will allow them to get away with it; I’d like to think that most Americans would draw the line at something like this, but I’m not so sure anymore.

I can’t believe that I am saying this, but the charge will be lead by Rubio, who is still planning on running in 4 years. Rubio is already recoiling at the thought of a life sentence in the Senate.

Obama should issue blanket pardons for anyone who can be a whistleblower or restraint on Trump.

Also OT but related, Senators Burr and Warner have just announced a bipartisan investigation into Russia’s “activities and intentions” in the recent US elections.

Also, Anonymous is outing Julian Assange as a fascist ideologue going back several years, stating that Wikileaks, under Assange, never had as its goals helping the little guy over corporations, the weak over the powerful, that the people who developed the initial Wikileaks software were at odds with Assange’s politics and ultimately left and became Anonymous.

I’m actually following Anon’s account. As you can imagine they aren’t for Hillary or the Democrats either, but they have been passionately against everything about PeePee the Nazifrog/Assange. Their anti-PeePee plea before the election was a thing of beauty.

Ah, I see you beat me to it, clunkertruck, and by a few hours! This is bombshell news, IMHO. This whole Russian connection isn’t going away and I’m pleased to see the adults in the room focusing on the political interference while I continue a steady stream of PeePee jokes. Golden!

Criticism of Herr Trump is henceforth verboten.
Donnie’s fascist regime is shaping up pretty much as we had feared.

Chaffetz: Constitution clearly says that the sole govt job is to promote a white Republican agenda.
