Not here in the fashionable hills of NW Connecticut!
Trump has many reasons to veto what ever comes along -
mainly because it is like doing a sloppy job of disassembling & reassembling a piece of complicated machinery - do it several times and at some point it completely ceases to work - and Trump truly believes that would be good for him
He has two reasons - a. his high moron factor base inherently believes that the Federal government should be stripped down to about 40 employees and things would be great. ā¦ and b. for Trump - the more chaos & disarray - the more he can loot and appropriate for himself.
nothin like their hey-day though ā¦
[ I can remember getting a real A&W rootbeer ] ā¦
The King of Root Beers.
Itās a recent affliction. During the Obama administration the GOP Congress was well aware of its power to hamstring the Executive Branch.
Theyāre predisposed to inaction.
Are there no Republicans who want to open the government to get to the 60 veto-proof level?
this
then watch out for that man of the people Paul Ryan as he ladles you a nice steaming bowl of independence chowder
not so fast
not a root beer fan - until itās poured into a mug with vanilla ice cream - then - oh boy
Theyāre all afraid of making Trump voters mad
I get the party loyalty thing ā¦ to a point. However, these seem to be extraordinary circumstances and at a certain point you would think, considering the economic damage that has already been done, it becomes country first. It isnāt just about Trump. It is the whole republican party that the blame falls on.
If there were a way that Trump could literally blow up the entire country with the press of a button he would use that as leverage to get what he wants. And if he didnāt get what he wants heād blow us all up. He doesnāt care about us or the country. This is about getting what he wants.
McCarthy now says it doesnāt have to be a wall, it can be a ābarrierā. So, just give Trump $ 100 and send him to Home Depot to pick up some chicken wire
Iād put it a little more explicitly than Durbin but ANOTHER shutdown would be a mess. And it would be insane of Trump to try to invoke emergency powers to overcome a legislative dispute.
Is anyone making the point that if this is a national emergency, how can it just calmly wait for a few more weeks/months until something is done about it? Of course we all know itās NOT an emergency, but using Drumpfās own panic against him, ask him and the GOP how it is that this emergency can wait.
Or here in rural Shelton Washington.
