Discussion: 'Drain The Swamp?' Trump Stocks His Transition Team With Lobbyists<!--EndFragment-->

And yet, the average Joe will never hear about this, as the MSM will not deem it newsworthy.
(Jebus, we are not even one week post election)

Well the average joe also will notice that nothing has improved for them even though Trump promised to make things magically “great”

Or as Colbert put it: "They’re exactly what I’d expect to find at the bottom of a drained swamp,”

Meanwhile, a person who spoke to the Trumpcampaign told POLITICO that the aides have also discussed tapping Sarah Palin for Interior secretary. Trump has said he’d like to put Palin in his cabinet, and Palin has made no secret of her interest.

No, more like a Trump swap:

“That’s right. Trump’s plan to drain the swamp of corruption means bringing back Giuliani, Christie, Gingrich and Palin,” Stephen Colbert said. “It makes sense: They’re exactly what I’d expect to find at the bottom of a drained swamp.”

Other than adding names, how is this news? Was something different expected?!? LOLOLOL

And he’s also stocking his administration with his own kids in this transition team…who are supposedly going to run the family business in a separate trust independent of their father.

Failure #1 for the Trump presidency.

He doesn’t trust anyone besides his own family who he has under this thumb or the GOP Yes Men that he had to rely on in the campaign. These are the “best people” he promised that he would delegate all his duties so he could continue holding rallies and acting like a Big Shot? All he attracts are flies…and fools.

What a joke…on the white nationalists who voted for Trump thinking he cared about them. It’s all about Donald like it always is.

Smaug once again rears his ugly head and this time it looks like Trump.

Or if the media will call him out.

I held my suppressed rage in until Ryan and his plans for Medicare. Then the dark cloud settled around my head.

Dems NEED to be on FOX News EVERY day pointing stuff like this out. It is the only way the “low information” voters will hear any facts

I was leaning towards Angelo Mozilo from Countrywide for that post.

Well, well, well…Candidate Trump said a lot of things and nobody in the press asked him what he meant. We are all going to find that out now…but the election is over. Too late.

All of Hillary’s comprehensive plans were available for people to research but when the folks were asked about that on TV they said they hadn’t heard any but you know Trump said…

The old adage “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink” applies here. You know though that people who say those things can’t even use a cellphone camera properly. (Giggle,Giggle)(snark)

People were left to project their own meaning on everything so what does “drain the swamp” mean to Trump? Nobody knows but we will soon find out and when we do we will also find out that nobody voted for Trump. Just ask them.

America and the world will go down if Trump assumes power. It will be like an asteroid hitting. Except much slower. This way, the sheeple will destroy themselves.

When I see people on this site use the word “media”, what I see immediately afterwards is devastating evaluations of what they will not do to try to save this republic. Event One leads to Event Two**

I love the English language. But I am aware that the irresponsible use of slang can be harmful and actually hurt critical thinking. NBC Newsman Edwin Newman wrote a book on that called “Strictly Speaking”.

I am convinced that the GOP irresponsible use of the word “bailouts” greatly harmed Obama, even as the actions the term “bailout” stood for were necessary and useful.

In just 72 hours Trump has demonstrated this will be the most radical, incompetent, and nakedly corrupt administration in history. The probability that money changed hands here is bumping the ceiling. And he’s not president yet and won’t be for some time. It’s an interesting situation.

They’ll blame the Democrats, just in time for 2018.

Count on it…

And, it will work.

So now we’re living in an ancient Chinese curse?

You are a master of understatement.

:sob:

Yes, we’ve been cursed with interesting times, no doubt about it. Funny thing about that saying, it’s been used by many people but none of them were Chinese that we know of or lived before 1936. : ) It makes sense, though, it sounds right, what with Chinese history and philosophical writings on the blessings of stability.

I do like understatement. If you go with overstatement you’re looking at a lot more competition.
