Discussion: 'Dr. Drew On Call' To End 5-Year Run On HLN Next Month

Dr. Drew is one of the slimiest TV docs—right up there with Dr. Oz.
Taking profit from a TV series about struggling drug addicts may not be a violation of medical ethics, but it clearly violates ordinary sense of right and wrong.
Good riddance.

… edit: Some people have it in for Dr. Gupta. I don’t get this. What has he ever done that crosses a line? He’s donated a lot of time to give care and do surgeries in disaster areas and poor countries.

I remember him on KROQ. When KROQ started to suck.

The headline indicates he was let go because of the Clinton discussions, but the article doesn’t support that.

This is what it says on the article page: ‘Dr. Drew’ Show Canceled Days After He Speculated About Clinton’s Poor Health

But on the comment page it says: ‘Dr. Drew on Call’ To End 5-Year Run on HLN Next Month

Lost his CNN show? Who cares! He figures his speculation might get Trump to hire him at TRN (Trump Reality Network) after the election.

Yet another attack on Free Speech by Crooked.

Yes, I hate it when TPM stoops to these sorts of headlines. It’s disappointing.

This will be no loss to television.

This needs to be added to the Clinton Cash film now. So obvious they’ve done this; hope he’s not murdered.

I wonder if he Skypes? I have this intermittent pain in the small of my back. Maybe he’d take a look and tell me what is causing it.

Apparently her health wasn’t the real issue, his show’s was.

I had never even heard of this guy, until the dust-up about HRC’s health. But the following statement speaks volumes to me…

In a statement, Pinsky said he was excited to stay “within the CNN Worldwide family” as a contributor.

Comedy News Network strikes again…

Why, this could be the greatest loss to television culture since the duel cancellations of both “Supertrain!” and “Hello, Larry” from NBC in 1979.
How will we ever replace a man of this character and knowledge? I certainly hope there is an unused Kardashian laying around somewhere!

If the American healthcare system had only physicians of the caliber of the “Doctors” Drew, Phil, and Oz, the population of the USA would be 27 people.

I bet you read the instruction manual.

Who?

Maybe Dr. Oz could disappear next. Would be good for the health of the country.

Gupta is actually ok. Stuff he says is entirely evidence-based. In contrast to Oz, Drew, Phil, etc.
