Discussion: Dowless Instructed Workers To Fill Out Absentee Ballots With GOP Candidates

Mark Harris, time to concede.

Yup. Itā€™s absolutely critical to point out that it was because this was a vote-by-mail issue that we found out about it, due to it being a massive statistical outlier, which sent folks digging.

In most other scenarios, including electronic voting, weā€™d lack the indicators to even know something went wrong.

@fargo116 doesnā€™t have to be old. Plenty of us younger types are familiar with Mr. MacDonaldā€™s work and McGeeā€™s houseboatā€¦

Hereā€™s a review by yours truly:

(In posting to @fargo116, I also came across @fargo2413, @fargogubbe and @fargochris. Didnā€™t know there were so many of us FargoFolk here at TPM ! )

I wish the voting commission had the power to subpoena the AG for eastern NC to ask why they didnā€™t follow up on the reports of vote tampering.

With all the mush coming out of both mouths; I got a bit frustrated with the questions and the testimony: Was this woman asked- point blank if she actually selected Republican Candidates on voterā€™s absentee ballots she illegally took, signed and mailed in?

I didnā€™t know the full story on this, but just read elsewhere that Dowless, the political operative was charged with picking up absentee ballots. WTF? A biased individual not working for the elections board. Hope this guy gets some serious jail time.

For illegaly voting once, Texas threw a woman in jail for 8 years. How much should this gang receive? Correct answer: probation!!!

Well, if sheā€™s the lone witness telling the truth, then Dowless may try to tear at her credibility. Sheā€™s shaping up to be the John Dean of NC-Election-Fraud-gate.

And Dean was attacked without restraint.

Letā€™s hope someone else corroborates Lisaā€™s testimony.

But he knew what Dowless would do when he hired the bastard. Until Dowless agrees to roll over on his master, Harris will likely continue hiding his head in the sand.

Don't ever underestimate the long-term effects of a good night's sleep.

She did say, at one point, we then changed to I. So who knows what side the others are on.

Harris hired McCrae Dowless because of the results he saw in the prior election that he lost. Harris has admitted that he thought something was hinky, so therefore when he ran again he hired the hinky SOB.

Not sure, but he gathered them all together to tell them:

And Thursday, Dowless gave Britt and other workers a piece of paper telling them what to say on the stand, Britt said.

The paper read: ā€œI can tell you that I havenā€™t done anything wrong in the election and McCrae Dowless has never told me to do anything wrong, and to my knowledge he has never done anything wrong, but I am taking the 5th Amendment because I donā€™t have an attorney and I feel like you will try to trip me up. I am taking the 5th.ā€

Every.
Fucking.
Time.

When a GOP or conservative screams about some illegal or bad shit that they believe Democrats are doing, it is 100% projection about what they themselves are doing.

Yeah because once they know how to defeat the Dem in every election then whereā€™s the fun? They canā€™t do the same thing to each other in the primary, some one would surely spill the beans.

Earlier in her testimony, she said that Dowless had told her to plead the 5th Amendment since ā€œthey have nothing on us.ā€

Whatā€™s the penalty for witness tampering?

Crystal Mason gets 5 years in a Texas prison. This woman will get free treatment in a drug rehab program.

If Dowlessā€™ rap sheet ā€”>https://webapps.doc.state.nc.us/opi/viewoffender.do?method=view&offenderID=0111515&searchLastName=dowless&searchFirstName=leslie&searchMiddleName=m&listurl=pagelistoffendersearchresults&listpage=1 is any indication, Rethugliklans really do hire ā€œall the best people.ā€

I mean, if you canā€™t trust a guy who, along with the missus, was convicted of taking out an insurance policy on a dead man and collecting nearly $165,000 from his death (among other things) who can you trust?
