Discussion for article #221453
Republicans are great at coming up with a catchy talking point, then using a widespread campaign where everyone parrots the same line, essentially taking the initiative and hammering the same points come hell or high water, regardless of the validity or relevance of their chosen talking points.
I would argue that, while parroting disingenuous prattle is not consistent with the progressive/Democratic perspective, nevertheless, identifying strong key talking points and taking the initiative on presenting them in an articulate, strongly assertive fashion, would pay huge dividends in November.
When we are wishy-washy, we look weak, when we demonstrate strongly the courage of our clear and fundamentally sound convictions, we are powerfully persuasive, and even inspiring. That can win elections among an electorate who want strong, inspired leadership.
Take the high ground, and attack with vigor!
