Discussion: Donald Trump Stokes Ted Cruz-Rick Perry Senate Primary Intrigue In Texas

I am waiting to see who Louie Gohmert endorses. Smart Vegas money is on Papa Smurf.

Could be interesting… can you imagine Perry trying to walk in Cruz’s shoes and provide guidance to the House Freedom Caucus (lemmings)? Whereas Cruz tried to lead them over a cliff based on warped ideology; Perry might take them over the same cliff but he would tell them it was a shortcut.

The caption for that Trump pic should be ā€œLook, I’m ambidextrous. I can masturbate with either hand!ā€

Stubbier Trump: Remember when I kicked their asses in the debates? They couldn’t lay a glove on me then! That’s when America was great!

Feels like Throwback Thursday.

I remember Perry attacking Trump early in the primary season, calling him no conservative, among other things. But it doesn’t matter anymore, now that Cruz is Trump’s enemy number one.

Attacking Cruz while running against Hillary is very dubious, but I like it!

He just can’t help himself. Literally cannot. Donald’s default mode is to weigh in on anything that crosses his ADHD-adled radar, and if it includes an opportunity to grind a ax or nurse a grudge or needle an erstwhile adversary (even a vanquished one) he is powerless to resist the urge to bloviate. He is simply incapable of focusing on the things he would need to focus on to improve his poor and dwindling chances of winning the election. In that sense, the election IS ā€œrigged.ā€ But it’s rigged not by something external to Donald, it’s his own hard-wiring that’s doing him in.

It’s said that, ā€œit takes one to know one.ā€ I believe we have a counterexample of that principle here.

Ha, ha! I had a for realz LOL with that!

Far be it from me to praise Gubner Goodhair for anything. Lord knows, that man gives idiots a bad name, bless his little heart. But I’ve got to say this for him: through sheer longevity, he managed to take what is Constitutionally the fifth strongest political office in The (not so) Great State and make it the strongest office. The sumbitch does know how to use the power of appointment.

And then the headline should read,

Donald Trump Strokes Rick Perry

He caused Texans to begin referring to GWB as ā€œthe smart one.ā€

I’ll take Perry over Cruz any old day.

Perry is dumb and venal. Ted isn’t dumb, and he’s truly vile. Stupid and venal is a lot easier to contend with.

I am so proud of Donald Trump for pointing this out. I think that Kellyanne Conway, his new traveling companion and personal escort on the road, will give him a pat on the back and a peck on the cheek. The sources that gave Donald Trump the information about the MSNBC Morning Joe’s hosts are saying this too.

Rick Perry is a more qualified, less evil and better for Texas than Ted Cruz.

You’re assuming he can figure out just where he’s supposed to be and when. I have an idea he’d be listed as missing in action most of the time.

No, I think it’s an example of the concept.

A Cruz/Perry runoff!! Be still my beating heart! Only time I would EVER root for Perry is over that Dominionist swine.

It’s also inevitable, nor will it be the last attack he makes against Cruz. Cruz embarrassed and insulted him at his convention, in front a national television audience. HIS audience. Trump will bear a grudge against Cruz till the end of his days.
