Discussion for article #239164

Oh, I so want you to run as the Republican nominee, as well, Mr. Trump.

He won’t be able to say Hillary is short on governing experience since he’s got none.

Chris Wallace asks Trump for proof that the Mexican government is sending drug dealers and rapists into the US, and Trump answers, “The Mexican government is clever, while our government leaders are stupid. I was at the border last week and those guys said it, our leaders are stupid, and I don’t care whether you believe it or not.”

If that’s what constitutes “proof” in Trump World, I’ll stay in my own little corner of the world, where idiotic vitriol (like 99% of what Trump says) gets flushed down the loo with my morning deposit. I have no interest in a world that applauds the idiocy of Donald Trump. True, he’s not that much worse than the rest of the GOP clowns, but he revels in creating a black hole of truth and logic, and that’s more than I can stand.

“I want to run as the Republican nominee.”

I’d much rather see him run as an independent or third party candidate, virtually guaranteeing that neither he nor the GOP candidate would win.

Not that I think he has much of a chance in a two way race against Hillary, or for that matter Bernie. But still there’s a certain “careful what you wish for” aspect to this.

I mean who would have thought an idiot like George W. Bush could become president…but he did. And yeah, I know, Florida, SCOTUS, Gore won the popular vote etc – but the fact that he even got as close as he did…and was then re-elected in the midst of his reign of idiocy… well let’s just say I’m not sure I’m ready to cheer for Trump to win the Republican nomination just because I think that would help the Democratic nominee. Because his winning the nomination implies that he has at least some kind of chance of becoming (shudder!) “President Trump.” I don’t care it’s a .0001% chance, I’d still rather he have even less.

He’s a world class troll rampaging through the debate. He knows how to troll the GOP better than anyone. Bill Clinton knows this as well. How could someone who says what Trump says and honestly believe it be friends with the Clintons? To someone like Cruz, the Clintons are the devil. Trump is just trolling and it is a spectacle to behold.

More popcorn!

I honestly believe he’ll do it… and if he does the Trump name will forever reign high in my opinion!

♪┏(・o・)┛┓♪ Send in the clowns…Don’t bother…They’re here!!! ♪┏♪┗ ( ・o・) ┓♪

‘Mouthy’ Trump: “I’m YOOOOGE’ly happy to be here with these LOSERS…they’re idiots!”

‘Derpy’ Bush: “Hi! I’m the other white Bush!..and Trump is an asshole.”

‘Thirsty’ Rubio: “Hola’…Y’all! ~cough…cough!~ water please!”

‘Honky’ Carson: “My fellow Caucasians….”

‘Randy’ Rand Paul: “Praise be to the Aqua Buddha…”

‘Blinky’ Walker: “I HAVE to take this call….be right back.
~Yes, Mr. Koch!~”

‘Krazee’ Kasich: “What’s this all about and why am I here?”

‘Krusty’ Christie: “SHADDUP and sit down!”

‘Creepy’ Cruz: “I love Trump!”

‘Scammy’ Huckabee: “Praise JUH-EEEE-ZUS-UH! And pass the
plate.”

Moderator: “And a special shout out and “Thanks Y’All!” to clown extraordinaire ‘Missy’ Graham of South Carolina. Although he didn’t make the cut, he’s a wonderful clown and provided the Chick fil-A sandwiches and ham biscuits.”

Me? …Oh more popcorn…and keep it coming!

“Third party run?..Maybe! …If these losers and idiots piss me off!”

I hear what you are saying and, to a very large degree, I agree. Anything is possible. I guess I’m considering all the true damage to the Republican “brand” that would take place – damage that their racist, homophobic, extreme classist, anti-environmental, extreme pro-gun and all-around hateful activities doesn’t seem to be able to exact. If all of that can’t ruin the Republicans, perhaps The Donald can.

Again, anything is possible. I really would be shocked as shit if he were to win the nomination–as I believe he would be, too–but only after severe damage to the GOP. But, I think your concerns are very valid – many Americans are pretty ignorant when it comes to cause and effect (or is that affect?) and how he would be a terrible “leader” for all concerned (except himself, of course).

Considering Josh just did one of his editor’s blogs about how a sizable section of his readers do not have cable, his live-blogging the debates is remarkably context free. It appears the livewire will be the only way to follow the debate. HuffPo’s live blogging of the debate is covering every question asked, so I would recommend opening them in a tab.

That being said, Go Donald, Go! My favorite comment from him so far is that no one was talking about immigration until he brought it up in his announcement speech so we should all thank him for bringing the topic up. What an un-self aware buffoon.

Cause and effect. Effect is a noun, affect is a verb. Except when you effect change. Then effect is a verb for some reason, meaning to bring something about.

Thank you. I thought as much … but in my old(er) age, I’m starting to question myself a little more – especially after being exposed to so many nowadays who cannot speak, let alone read or write, properly.

Yes, yes, yes! Run, donnie, run!

I had a better time watching “How it’s Made” on the Discovery Channel. At least there’s a small modicum of intelligence and curiosity involved.

And “affect” is a noun in psychological and pretentious contexts. It gets confusing.
