Discussion: Donald Trump On Autism: 'No More Massive Injections, Tiny Children Are Not Horses'

Discussion for article #227241

Who are you going to believe? Doctors who have studied this thing for decades or a bigmouth who wears a dead badger on his head?

He’s right… doctors lie about everydamn thing, JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN!

Oh wait, I meant to say Donald.

My bad.

No argument from me on this one, at least on the initial premise: Tiny children are not horses

By the way he’s behaving, one would think he got a massive dose of something that causes autism.

I spent 47 years working at a Medical School doing science and teaching medical students. I would not turn to Donald Trump for advice as to the efficacy of a vaccine. Real estate? Maybe. But certainly not for anything science related.

Have his researchers gotten back from Hawaii yet and found incredible things about vaccines or are they still checking out Obama’s birth certificate over mai-tais at the hotel pool?

Folks, who would you believe with regard to science issues? A real estate mogul and sometimes reality TV “star” or an actual medical doctor who has spent decades practicing his/her profession?

Vaccines are not 100% effective against preventing infections. BUT they do cut the odds of getting infected substantially. Their real benefit is that, if used in populations, vaccines reduce the number of individual infections, and so reduce the exposure members of the population have to disease agents. Not being exposed to the disease agent is the best way of remaining uninfected.

The result is called “the herd effect.” Members of the herd protect each other by getting vaccinated. So, if I get vaccinated and you don’t, I am protecting you, but you are not protecting me. You are a parasite leeching off the herd.

That pisses me off.

His dad was the real real estate guy, Donald benefited greatly from that… because he was born into it.

I wouldn’t believe anything that blithering idiot says.

He may have gone belly up numerous times but what he did for a living was selling and buying real estate and fooling around on TV for a while. He has never, to my knowledge engaged in actual bench top science ever in his life and knows nothing about how science knowledge is gained. I do not see where either of his professional endeavors qualifies him as an expert in anything medical or scientific. That’s what I’m trying to convey here.

I understand what you are saying and concur. What gets me here is how desperate he appears to be for public attention. This man (despite his huge ego and ridiculous behavior) has an MBA and money - yet he seems to be willing to say or do anything to be validated by anyone at all.

No saying I am a member of the ignorant anti-vaccine mob, but Donald Trump is of the age of those who got the Small Pox, Polio, Tetanus, and other vacines as a child. One has to wonder if any of those had an adverse affect on him .

Donald just wants a work force that is both impoverished and vulnerable to diseases that were, until recently, stamped out in the industrialized world. Easier to control and with children in need of constant medical care, requiring constant debt?

Hey, Hair Bear can be paranoid. Why can’t I?
