People vote, and purchase products, even candidates based on many factors, and overall appeal is certainly one of them. I would find it hard listening to her screechy shrill voice for any length of time, for instance. Why are we pretending we don’t all do this?
No, this one won’t sink him any more than his insults to Heidi Klum, Rosie O’Donnell, and Megyn Kelly did. This is especially so because his reaction the current state of Fiorina’s face is widely held and has the ring of truth. I’ve heard a variation of that statement said aloud at home, at work, and among friends.
It is interesting, though, that he felt the need to lie about what he meant in a feeble attempt to walk it back.

Not really. Very few of the GOP '16 candidates are either choosing their words carefully or they are going mum. No one wants to be at the kiddie table and the rest of Trump’s compatriots are still under the impression that his high water mark (and abrupt fall) is sometime soon.

I’m not aware of Trump showing much in the way of judgement at all of any kind. He just blurts out what’s in his fetid mind. And I do mean fetid.

You would think that would have happened by now. At this point his candidacy is nothing but a dare, to see how deep of an asshole he can be before the base turns on him. So far he has ample evidence that he go for broke.

The biggest laugh-line in the GOP debate was Trump addressing Megyn Kelly’s question which consisted of far worse quotes from Trump attacking women in misogynistic terms… to which Trump replied he was talking about Rosie O’Donnell. The crowd roared (including women).
So the thinking that attacking Fiorina’s appearance will be a bridge too far is wishful thinking in my view. Nobody who cares about this sort of boorish behavior was in a Trump’s camp to begin with and nobody on the planet other than Carly Fiorina cares about Fiorina personally to be offended for her on hr behalf.
As others pointed out, Fiorina’s herself is just as shallow and judgemental about women as Trump is (her comments about Sen. Boxer’s hair) as are a ton of other women.
For as much as a segment in our society wants to believe that women should not be judged by her appearance (and I count myself in that segment of society) a huge swath do. The real elephant in the room is that women can often be the most vicious and judgemental on appearance.
Which is why I am hoping he does enough damage to the GOP and (with luck) gets their nomination. The public will be bored to tears with his clown-act and he will lose in a landslide if he is the GOP nominee.
He implied that an unattractive Republican woman is unlikely to be elected President. I actually agree with him. Palin could make waves with Republicans based on her appearance. Fiorina is not attractive. It would be hard enough to get Republicans to vote for any woman due to the party’s inherent sexism. A physically unattractive woman has no chance with that vulgar crowd.

–His signature plan is to somehow have Mexico build a wall Trump can take credit for
–Can’t tell the difference between Hamas and Hezbollah.
The list just keeps getting longer with each passing day. I’m sure I forgot to mention as many as I remembered.
Should be an interesting debate, though next week. Will Gentle Ben fight back? Carly has little to lose, will she go after Trump?. Trump will just try to deny he said any of these things…they need to come prepared to nail him to the wall with actual quotes, and not let Trump talk his way out of things.
