The term: “in the moment” keys in to this great fraud. Every word is spoken for the present audience. There is no rational connection to past statements. There is no consideration of future contradictions. The vulgar victory lap while Pulse victims were still being carried out was followed by a hate rally in NC. When confronted, he denied any such statements. He is one nasty SOB when his audience chants “Kill them all! Kill them all!” He turns another facet to say he will talk to the NRA. And it just goes on.
Trump gives the present audience what will make him appear best to them. That’s about it. He is not even a competent liar.
[quote]He did get to keep the cuff links Mr. Trump had given Mr. Cohn. Years later, Mr. Fraser had them appraised; they were knockoffs, he said.

It’s inconvenient when we have to acknowledge that a person who is trained to handle guns would not be as willing to shoot in a dark, confusing situation. Clearly, a rampage shooter would not be constrained by that. Decency has its drawbacks, I guess. (That, obviously, has never occurred to DT.)
Yeah, the club should have hired more security guards. I’m sure that would have helped, especially if the guards had guns strapped to their ankles (really? Is that what he was talking about?).
Oh wait a minute - wasn’t the shooter a security guard himself? Wonder if his plan was ever to get a job there.
“When you look at Paris – you know the toughest gun laws in the world, Paris – nobody had guns but the bad guys. Nobody had guns. Nobody,” Trump said at a rally here. “They were just shooting them one by one and then they (security forces) broke in and had a big shootout and ultimately killed the terrorists.”
“You can say what you want, but if they had guns, if our people had guns, if they were allowed to carry --” Trump said, pausing as the crowd erupted into raucous applause, “-- it would’ve been a much, much different situation.”
Every single headline about Donald Trump should follow the same formula:
“Donald Trump: I Never Said ________________________! (He did.)”
Just fill in the blank with whatever bullshit he’s trying to walk back at the moment.
The Supreme Court declined to take up a constitutional challenge to a Connecticut gun law passed in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
The guy lies out of both sides of his face, he’s pathological in his lying. Why doesn’t anyone in the MSM call him out on it? I know, I know ratings and money but, it’s still disappointing and, annoys me every time they let stuff like this slide.
Yes…there was armed security at the Orlando Nightclub.
From the OPD:
OPD statement, June 12: On June 12, 2016, just after 2 a.m., an Orlando Police Officer working extra duty at the Pulse Nightclub, located at 1912 S. Orange Ave., responded to shots fired. Our officer engaged in a gun battle with that suspect and the suspect went deeper into the club where more shots were fired. The incident then turned into a hostage situation.
In addition, news reports said that two of the responding officers, who were nearby and arrived at the scene not long after, also fired at Mateen before he retreated to a club bathroom with hostages. That was a few hours before police used an armored vehicle to rescue hostages from the bathroom, and then shot and killed Mateen.
