Gracious thy name isn’t Trump…
Narcissist Donald Trump won big again today. Still acted very un-Presidential. Sad!
Donald, you jackoff, you have no idea what the word “pressure” means. But you will.
Americans:
Prepare to be his subjects. I have lived in countries with dictators. Maybe that’s what people need here. One can only yell so much.
Do any of you think Trump really believes he doesn’t lie? Is his pathological disorder that advanced? Opinions?
I don’t believe he does. He just says whatever shit is on his mind without giving it any thought… But never considers it lying.
Stalin never lied. Hitler never lied. All three (incl. Trump) had a compliant “press”. All three have the personalities of dictators.
Only ONE of the three controls nuclear weapons.
My guess is he concocts a world that’s as he wishes it to be, because that’s the only kind of world he can handle, and the things he says seem true to him while he says them. It’s not only one way or the other, of course. When he evades a question, I think he’s consciously aware that he’d embarrass himself if he tried to answer. But the projection, the saying black is white, the inability to simply acknowledge a criticism or understand that he might do something criticizable, I think that’s all in the realm of actual delusion. But you do this for a living—is there a definition or guideline for this?
“Cruz started acting like me and he couldn’t pull it off. This level of crazy takes a professional. Out-bonzoed.”
He’s a bullshitter. He says what he needs to say at the time and most of the time doesn’t remember. Truth or falsehood doesn’t really factor into it. If he needs to say black is white, he will and keep on trucking.
If trump ever got to the white house, Cruz and trump would be in heaven making each other miserable.
Well, clearly he is an extreme narcissist. It’s talked about that in aristocratic legacies, this disorder is more prevalent. Also, it can be born from, like most disorders, the upbringing of an individual. If too much coddling or criticism is involved, the seeds could be potentially be laid. In Trump’s case, it seems to be the latter. He was sent off to a “military themed” school, where he didn’t get along with other students, as I’ve heard reported, and so on. So, he is fertile ground for this disorder, for sure. It goes without saying that this success, in the election process, isn’t doing him any good. It’s just enabling the disorder to grow, unchecked. He is the prototype sociopath, devoid of empathy, callous and crass, that every dictator in the world is, or has been, as Trevor Noah has pointed out by comparing him to African dictators. So, I think most of what you said is on point. Pathological lying is usually an accompaniment to a sociopath and NPD. So, this is all textbook, by in large.
Trump is not only a pathological liar, he is a sociopath. He displays a complete disregard for the feelings of others, a lack of remorse or shame, manipulative behavior, unchecked egocentricity, and the ability to lie in order to achieve his goals. The possibility of Trump becoming President is, in and of itself, a destabilizing thought on an international level.
Trump knows wacko better than anybody.
It’s not considered a lie when it is method acting.
Agreed – shame and guilt don’t seem to moderate his behavior like they do with the rest of us, so he’ll lie if it gains him an inch or a second. Truth and lies are just steps on the way to getting him what he wants.
You are correct. He does not
I’m not so sure a True Believer-style dictator would have been better…
Many years ago, Trump was asked by a reporter, who caught him in a lie that he tried to laugh off, why he lied so frequently when it was easy to prove him wrong. Trump explained in a manner only he would attempt to do, that he doesn’t lie, it’s just “exaggerated self-promotion.”
Does Trump know he’s lying, of course he does, but he does it no matter what he’s talking about. For instance at one of his victory speeches that was also labeled as a press conference and held at Mar-a-Lago, he told the people gathered that he’d try to hold one of his next press conferences at his hotel in Chicago. However, he dropped in an absolutely unknown “fact” that the Chicago property was rated the best hotel in North America, not just in Chicago or the U.S. but on the continent. It’s not even ranked in the top five in Chicago!! He is so insecure that he has to pump up everything he says in order to try to impress upon everyone who comes before him, that he has the best of everything, the greatest, the biggest, whatever superlative he can use. He definitely has mental health issues regarding his need to lie incessantly and to always put other people down in the most immature manner possible.
