Discussion: DOJ To Announce Law Enforcement Action On N. Carolina At 3:30 PM ET

I’m taking bets! It’s either a 30 day warning of all Federal funds being cut off OR it’s an immediate cut off. I really like the latter!

Is that McCrory crapping his pants that I hear?

OK, NBA. You gave NC its grace period to reverse. Time for you to drop the hammer too.

The majority of people in NC are in for a world of hurt they’re in for in the foreseeable future. There can’t be many Fortune 500 companies willing to relocate there and the ones who are currently there may be looking for the exits so jobs are in question. If Federal funding is cut off, the quality of life goes down in general because private companies aren’t going to want to pony up funds to make up for the loss.

Oh, I wanted to add this is the opening bell for Obama’s election year help in replacing a RW governor with a Democrat.

Wow, I bet other red states with ® guvs are sh*tting their pants right now, afraid that legislation they have enacted or is in the mill will trigger similar Federal government sanctions.

One can only hope, eh?

GOBAMA!

McCrory announced earlier today NC would be suing the DOJ, and it
is something the trumpet would say about anything that doesn’t break his way.

“It’s the federal government being a bully.”

@machoneman Lots of polling shows Roy Cooper ahead of McCrory. But NC still has voter suppression on its side.

Who’s the bitch now, McCrory? Nothing’s gonna stop this action by DoJ, and he’s only sunk his gubernatorial chances further for being such a stick-in-the-mud-politician, who never can admit when he’s so obviously wrong about something, whether it be big or small.

Yes, Dixie is really dishing out its famous southern hospitality to the LGBT community. I wouldn’t count on too many members of the LGBT community planning any gay, carefree vacations down south…if you do be sure to pack your birth certificates if you should need to use the restrooms.Pledge to not spend your tourist dollars in North Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee or any state that promotes prejudice and hate. . http://wp.me/p2qifI-3rK

I’m really hoping for a enormous ‘out of fucks to give’ response to this.
I don’t really expect one given the normal measured response of the Obama Admin…but the vindictive child in me every now and again hopes against hope that just this once…

North Carolina might be the new South Carolina. What an accomplishment!

Bricks do making a noise when clanking down onto each other.

Hmmm … I know these pressers rarely ever start on time, but could it be Loretta Lynch got a last minute phone call from a certain North Carolina governor and he’s attempting to work out some sort of deal as we sit?

Welp … spoke 1 minute too soon.
