I’m not sure about that choice of words: “Bruising.” It could be a very healthy thing to have a lot of competition for the nomination. I think every day the news cameras are pointed at Democratic candidates debating what policies would be best for the country is a good day for the party.

How about “lively?” “Boisterous?” The party is expecting a lively, boisterous primary.

Better fix:

“Activists on the left still harbor resentments over favoritism party officials primary voters showed Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in 2016.”

They’re shutting the stable door after the horse is gone. And the horse wasn’t even stolen through an open stable door. It escaped when the barn was set on fire.

Big deal. Trump will have suspended the elections and proclaimed himself God Emperor by then, after which climate change will turn the Earth into a giant desert and Trump will transform himself into a giant sandworm and control once and for all the galactic supply of melange…

Don’t worry, they will find some way to fuck it up…

Bill and Hillary should be told to take a trip to Tierra del Fuego at that time…

“Democrats have yet to decide where they will convene.”

Yeah, guys, turns out the Hilton has room for a circular firing squad. Should I book it?

I agree. The energy is going to be on the Democratic side in 2020, whereas the Republicans have soiled their bed with the leaker-in-Chief.

The media will be forced to train their lenses on the Democratic candidates, the debates, and the issues from our perspective.

Well isn’t that special? Three worthless events in one summer-Two political conventions and the Summer Olympics.
At least it won’t be a pair of American cities that will have to pay thru the nose for the “Honor” of hosting “The Games.” or at least not the athletic ones. (We’ll have enough trouble when The World Cup comes to “North America”, whenever that is.)
Where or when the “democrats” meet is a matter of no consequence whatsoever. As of 2018, they still can’t find their backsides in a phone booth at high noon with both hands. And you REALLY think “the Primary season” before the “2020 turkey shoot” is going to improve anything at all? “Democrats” are looking to tumble into 2020 in the biggest mess since James Buchanan left the White House in March 1861.
If Nothing changes, and there is little sign that anything of substance will change, get ready for four more years of the Great Orange Pretender, and all his zany friends.

Isn’t that when Bernie typically goes on vacation?
