Discussion: DNC Chair Defends Decision To Suspend Sanders Campaign

And how do you know this?

Debbie is such a scum bag.

Yes, the atmosphere over at DK has become toxic, and I agree it is the Sanders crowd. I am trying to separate this incident from that situation, which is really noxious. Shame, I used to like that place, and have a very low UserID from joining early days. I guess I spend more time here now.

My personal feeling is that your response is indicative of the win-at-all-costs Hillary Clinton campaign and the sociopathy of many of her supporters.

See now, that’s the sort of non-constructive comment that really doesn’t accomplish anything except poison the well.

Coming from a “person” who just called DWS a scumbag, that really doesn’t bother me.

“Withholding access to this critical information at such a critical time for the campaign is equivalent to sabotage.”

This is contradicted by all news reports to date that I have seen. Check the Washington Post story for example.

What is the basis of your claim?

Seems to be trending on Twitter #fireDWS

I’m not a huge fan of DWS, but she should be under attack here for being in charge of a system where this happens rather than for trying to correct it.

Maybe one or two facts need to come out before folks jump to the conclusion that (1) the Sanders campaign stole reams of data for the purpose of seeking an unfair advantage or (2) that the Clinton campaign is colluding with the DNC to destroy Bernie.

All we do know is that the DNC is incompetent and has slapped the Sanders campaign with a rather severe penalty.

DWS is far too reactive. If there was a database intrusion it should have been dealt with with much more tact and much less publicly. This is not her first time at the over-reaction trough.

I agree that it is time for her to concentrate on her next election, not the party’s business.

That is a frightening thought.

Feel the same way - and I used to really like that place.

I am an uncommitted Democrat. My intention is to contribute to and work for the parties nominee in the run up to the general election. With that said DWS has been very obvious in her tilting the party efforts toward Clinton. This most recent action Shultz has again demonstrated that she step down and be replaced by someone who is both impartial and competent. Two attributes that DWS is lacking.

She is truly an incompetent, had a miserable off year election strategy that got the Dems clobbered by running away from the President and now she is just pissing off Sanders supporters to the point where many will no longer vote for Clinton if/when she wins the nomination, but will just leave the line blank.

Long past time for her to be replaced and the failure to have done so is a big red flag for the party.

Fact 1…the Sanders campaign reported this error numerous times without INFORMING THE PRESS…something Debbie didnt seem to be able to do.

Fact 2…if the firewall was breached, than any simple search term would give you BOTH campaigns info (which makes it hard to believe the Clinton campaign didnt make the same mistake).

-3 if for 1 minute you dont think DWS hasnt rigged this for Clinton…you aren’t looking very hard. Debates at times no one will watch, leaking the above info to the press.

Its time to FIRE her. She has been a disaster as if the the last 2 election cycles are not enough.

I loathe seeing DWS on TV. She is a terrible TV person. She blinks excessively, looks shifty and defensive, and mindlessly recites talking points in a mechanical fashion. I often wonder if she is a Republican plant. Why the hell can’t we have more effective, positive TV personalities like Stephanie Cutter? In DWS’s version of “it’s a Wonderful Life” every time she goes on TV, a Democrat loses an office. Democrats have lost 913 state legislature seats, 12 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats since Obama was sworn in.However, DWS is not to blame for most of them. The 2010 Republican tsunami was before her time and and was the work of the Koch brothers manufactured tea party. That we have continued to lose ground since, does not help her case at all. From Politico on 02/20/15:

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose term has two years to run, is deeply at odds with White House staffers, they say, and has rarely even spoken to President Barack Obama since she took over in 2011.

Wasserman Schultz has a different sense of herself. According to people who spoke with her, when she sensed Obama was considering replacing her as chair in 2013, she began to line up supporters to suggest the move was both anti-woman and anti-Semitic.

You’re not going to join the GOP over this. That would be truly pathetic. And trolling.
