It was more like a hit and panic. She returned to the scene after (1) she came to her senses or (2) talked to her lawyer. Either way, in the end she did the right thing and returned to the scene.
She left the sceneā¦
Thought about it for 20 minutes.

A delayed āgood Samaritanā response is better than no response, I guess.
Iāve read of enough car/pedestrian accidents where the driver stops and then is beaten by others, that - depending on the circumstances - I might drive a few blocks away and then call the police to turn myself in.
True that. But is there an excuse for all bold font, all of the time?
Twenty minutes to wrestle with ones conscience and decide to take responsibility for a felony is a pretty good time for a bishop. She must be relatively new.
She should be prosecuted, 20 minuets could be the difference between life and death.
She never should have left in the first place. Having a change of heart (or cleaning up the evidence) does not excuse her actions.

Never said it did.
One of those infamous āFamily Valuesā preachers??
Really, you think the driver getting beaten is a typical response? Iād be astonished if it was anything more than rare. Drivers killing cyclists and getting off scott free or with a minor citation is far more common. For some reason, āI just didnāt see him/herā is frequently accepted as sufficient reason for killing a cyclist.
