Discussion: Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney Take To The WSJ To Torch Obama On Iraq

The absolute hypocrisy of these two is astounding. Honestly, I don’t what else you can say, except to agree with a comment above that they are both sociopaths.

Dick Cheney should be able to write as many op-eds as he wants, as long as they are from prison. I’m feeling generous.

I’ll bet a big no-bid contract to Halliburton is just what is required to “Bring Stability to Iraq”. After all, it worked the first 10 times didn’t it?

Their use of the stabbed-in-the-back theory was as predictable as the day is long. Let’s recall that Hitler used it, too. All problems related to Iraq were going to be Obama’s; any glory, real or imaged, was to be Bush/Cheney’s. Editorial management that helps them promote this is the same ilk that cravenly promoted the ill-advised war in 2002/3.

A sane country would have jailed them long ago.

Had he been prosecuted we likely wouldn’t be hearing about his latest killing fantasy.

I think I found a father and daughter team that is more cruel and hate filled than Tywin and Cersei Lanister from " Game of Thrones " I could only hope and pray Dicky Boy ends up the same way. The only real difference is that Cersei was in love with her brother and Lizzy is really in love with her lesbian sister who won’t return her love

What else could they say? The truth?

“Boy, the R party sure did fuck shit up when we were in office last time.”

Somehow I think that wouldn’t win them any votes.

I wish i were smart enough to come up with a stronger descriptor, because “despicable” doesn’t even begin to cover it. The fact that Dick Cheney is alive and well makes me seriously question karma.

Does anyone care what this old gasbag has to say? Are there actually people in this country who agree with this man?

He can’t seriously believe what he is saying can he? If so, it must be a sad, desperate attempt to cover up his shameful legacy.

It’s just unbelieveable.

Shameful Legacy? The hell you say! (this is a link!)

I liked the original Liz nd Dick back in the sixties though it would be fun to watch these two assholes reprise “Whose afraid of Wolfawitz”

Typical of the coward Cheney and his wicked offspring to attack the president while hiding behind the castle walls of the WSJ. I’m guessing the gruesome twosome’s next stop will be Fox News where they can safely spew their delusional version of reality without their sanity being questioned.

Am I mistaken, but was Al Qaeda even in Iraq to be defeated? What makes my blood boil even more than their bald-faced lying is the media’s craven coverage of the Republican lies. Rather than investigating claims of “weapons of mass destruction” for example, the media just reported under the claim of neutrality. But the media’s equivocation in their Iraqi coverage, I would claim, indirectly led to the country’s invasion.

Sadly, i think that’s at least partly why a lot of these old timers are back pushing the country into war again - to boost their investment portfolios. Hey, it worked once, why not try it again?

No shame or self awareness. Just cold, calculated, pathetic losers.

This is what happens when you don’t prosecute war criminals.

I haven’t read the article because I don’t have to. I know what it says. They’ve been vomiting up this putrid evil for as long as both have been given a forum to do so. The ONLY thing I take heart in is that a majority of Americans see this for what it is. Of course, the 28% of Bush deadenders beileve it and nothing will change that.
