Yep. During the campaign.

He’s taking the fall because his boss is bellowing in his ear that this is all Kelly’s fault anyway.

It can’t be PeePee’s because, as is always the case with this NPD poster man-child, nothing is ever, ever, ever his fault. Or his advisers, because he picked them and his choices can never, ever, ever be wrong.

Trump’s raging NPD, a cause of his inexplicable rise, may also be the ultimate factor in his inevitable fall. Hoisted on his on pathologically disordered ego.

Kelly heard about it on an airplane after it had been made public by Trump, no? No consultation process with key agencies. And over the weekend or early the next week after the Judges in Brooklyn and Boston had ruled, Bannon went to Kelly’s office to order him to disobey the judicial temporary restraining orders. Fall on sword to help the Clown Show of the co-called President.

Is this what you’re referring to:

Kelly also pushed back on reports that travelers were treated inhumanely by CBP officials — including reports that they were insulted or forced to stand for hours on end.

“I’ve read the reports about people standing up hours and hours on end — didn’t happen,” Kelly said.
“I guess insult is in the eyes of the beholder. But the men and women I serve with do not insult people,” he said.

It’s from a hearing transcript I found at The Hill.

Because he is a soldier.

Should have delayed it? Wasn’t he reading it for the first time when Donald signed it on TV? I guess since he’s supposed to be one of the “sane” ones, no one’s going to come down too hard on him. Gen. Kelly can look forward to receiving the same dignified magnanimity as Meredith McIver.

Speaking of the “sane” ones, the ones we’re counting on to backstop the Yamschluss, what about these reports that Mattis goaded Trump into the Yemen raid? Supposedly he said something like "now this raid would be huge, but apparently the last administration wasn’t ballsy enough to green-light it. Not very reassuring.

Remember when Shrubya’s minions were forced to fall on their swords almost en masse? Yeah, me neither.

Of course, they waited until about Year 3 to begin the carnage.

Condemning Kelly for not reading a 2,000 word document is inappropriate, at best. Do you know how hard it is to read when you’re on all fours and being mercilessly slammed in the ass? (Me neither. But I can imagine.)

“I’m paid to worst-case it.”

I’d say that you nailed it, then.

“We have indisputable evidence the terrorists we intercepted were allowed to sit down,” he added.

Does he know that 1.) he’s retired, 2.) he’s no longer in the military, and 3.) DHS used to be a non-militarized entity?

Semantics. Right?

ETA: I cannot explain the phantom reply which is, in fact, a duplicate of this post.
It’s them damn pookas, I tells ya.

the pic suggests he was running to the left that day in the oval office trying to get away from what was coming.
Now he walks bowlegged and he will say what he is told to say because tomorrow could be another run around the rosey in the oval office for any number of reasons.

I wonder how many in his Cabinet were aware they would have to fall on their swords to cover for the Loser-in-Chief.

Rudy-to-the-Rescue spelled it out in a televised interview. And this was after the election. If only there were, I don’t know, a video of that or something.

I didn’t know about the executive order before it was made public, but it’s all on me that it wasn’t delayed. That makes sense in Trumpworld, because the so-called president never has to say he’s sorry.

Dear John Kelly,
Picture your personal dignity and reputation as a roll of toilet paper. Trump has pulled a few sheets from your roll, wiped his ass with it, and flushed it. This will happen again. If there is a really big steaming pile to clean up Trump may need the whole roll all at once. When you are down to the bare cardboard tube and every last shred is flushed that’s when you’re like Colin Powell and get thrown in the trash.

Shorter Drumpf. It sounds like his Mooslim BAN is getting kicked in the gonads by the Appeals Court.

Yes! I saw this on O’Donnell’s show last night, and it’s one of the reasons his show is invaluable as opposed to much of the other blather on MSNBC

When the reporting begins with this

A three-judge federal appeals panel voiced skepticism on Tuesday at the Justice Department’s broad defense of President Trump’s targeted travel ban during arguments over how much power the president has to impose immigration restrictions based on national security concerns.

you know it won’t get better 200 or so words later.

He’s not military anymore.

Coward. His president is attacking this country from within.

Stand up, man!

I’ve never had any doubt that Splicer was gonna be canned. I heard that Conway was his original pick for Press Secretary but he was overridden by Rinse My Prius.

@ghost I believe Josh refers to them as dignity wraiths.
