Interview with a guy who actually knows something about security. Malcolm Nance on CSPAN’s Q&A.
Let’s ban golf bags entirely. You want to fly to Florida and golf at Mar-a-Lago, either ship your clubs ahead or rent clubs there.
If there’s an imminent danger, then do what you need to do. If you’re considering this for a few days or weeks from now, then this is not about safety. My best guess, it’s payback for the lawsuits and injunctions against the immigration and visa ban executive orders.
“There’s a real threat,” Kelly said, adding that terrorists are “obsessed”with the idea of downing a plane in flight, “particularly if it’s a U.S. carrier, particularly if it’s full of mostly U.S. folks. It’s real.”
This is the whackdoodle who thinks an open-and-shut treasonous backchannel to Pootie is OK because terrorism, AND subscribes to the ridiculous laptop fire-drill because terrorism.
Projection, thy name is Republican.
Uh hello – bombs don’t need to be in the passenger cabin to blow up. It can blow up in the cargo hold. How the heck does it make it safer to have them in the cargo hold? Ever heard of a timer? You don’t even need to have a person be there to set it off.
If they have a way to screen before it goes into luggage then bring it out to the TSA checkpoints. What are business people supposed to do who aren’t supposed to have their work laptops out of sight?
