Translation: A couple people at DHS knew a little bit about it, maybe a couple days ahead of signing, but I was in the fucking dark, OK?

Well, he is a good soldier, isn’t he? Good cover. Well, actually more like a C-minus. But he tried.

Pull the other one, it has bells on it. Let’s paraphrase Mr. Kelly’s statement; “I was only following orders.”

Fucking liar. You were being briefed on it as Bulbous Shitgibbon was signing the EO.

I wish TPM had included a recap of the original report as part of this story. As it stands, you could light a cigarette off this man’s pants.

“We did know the E.O. was coming. We had people involved in the general drafting of it,” Kelly said, when first asked if he was aware of the order ahead of time, adding that the legal team at DHS specifically was involved.

The policy team at the White House developed the executive order on refugees and visas, and largely avoided the traditional interagency process that would have allowed the Justice Department and homeland security agencies to provide operational guidance, according to numerous officials who spoke to CNN on Saturday.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Department of Homeland Security leadership saw the final details shortly before the order was finalized, government officials said.

LMFAO…that will work too

Translation: I’m saying this to save face, so you have no idea how much I’d like to cave Bannon’s head in despite knowing I’d get his moldy corn chip and lighter fluid vodka stench on me for a few days.

For folks like Tillerson who have yet to be confirmed, you still have time to run away. Do you really want to be like Kelly and have to excuse insanity like this EO. Bannon is just using your name as cover to get his alt-right agenda enacted.

Anyone who associated with this administration is going to have their names and reputations destroyed. Everything Trump touches turns to shit.

I disagree. All someone has to do is tough it out for a year or two. Then they’re a veteran of a Presidential administration. They rent space on K Street, hang a shingle, and commence raking in lobbying fees. Certain forms of taint are lucrative. Fricking Newt Gingrich has a history of graft and scandal both personal and professional that would make de Sade blanch, yet he cashes in. Getting caught in bed with a dead hooker or a live boy are about the only disqualifiers to post-government success.

Kelly repeatedly noted that he had been aware that Trump was going to sign an executive order along these lines since Trump was campaigning for president.

Was your awareness based on his constant calls for a “Ban on Muslims” or was this something you discussed in private with the candidate during one of his many sessions at 24-Hour Fitness facilities along the campaign trail, an impromptu StairMaster summit, if you will?

Greed and hunger for power will make people ear a lot of shit and claim it tastes heavenly.

Except didn’t the Orange Horror just sign something preventing them all from lobbying for at least 5 years after leaving govt service?

Sigh. The self-debasement of otherwise decent people carries on apace.
