Bullshit like this is infuriating, because you know 35-40% of the country is going to buy into Trump’s alternate reality of being victimized and obstructed by:
- a Democratic party that has no power
- over nominations he hasn’t made
- to a Republican-controlled Senate that can confirm his nominees with the simple majority they already possess.
Yet Trump’s idolizing base will lap it up like it’s God’s given truth.

He signs pieces of paper on live television. He thinks he’s signing legislation into law because Rinse My Prius tells him it’s legislation. In fact, it’s just a memo saying that something will be considered and worked on. In the future. He goes through the pantomime of signing because he’s told that’s what POTUS does so he does it. He’s told by his flunkies that millions of jobs have been created since January. So that’s what he tells HIS supporters. He has no way of knowing any different.

I agree 100%, but that would require the Democratic Party to believe that such communication is necessary in the first place, not to mention organization, planning, and daily work to make it happen.
Welp it occurs to me that there are experienced people in the House and Senate. They could draw up a list of folks that could do the jobs and walk the list over to trump and have him perfunctorily sign off on 'em and then he could take credit for it all.

After all it’s clear that trump has no idea about the stuff…the boring government stuff the POTUS is supposed to do. Like nominations, vetting, working with Congress on legislation, communicating with his white House staff so that at least publicly they’re on the same page. How many times has he sent out surrogates to explain some issue and within an hour he sends out a tweet contradicting his surrogate.
…Because when you have the majority of both Houses of Congress and a President with an eggshell fragile ego, when stuff does not happen it must be because of something the powerless are doing.
