Discussion: Despite Allegations, Ellison Easily Wins Minnesota AG Democratic Primary

"While Ellison called for Sen. Al Franken to step down when sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against him last November, Ellison said Tuesday night that there’s a crucial difference in their cases.

“In this case, it’s not true of me. It’s just not true. We’ll talk more about it in the coming days,” he said."

Oh? and it was true with Al Franken? Fuck off ellison.

Hello? It might be hard for you, but you need to focus. We are in a fight to save our country. We must get Dems elected. Your anger will accomplish nothing.

I don’t understand why he is running for Minn AG, that sounds like a step down from being a Congressperson.

AG is an important job. Dem AGs all over the country are suing the trump administration big time. We need more Dems in charge of state legislatures.

That was my thought as well.

While i agree with you that we are in a fight for our future and need to elect Democrats at every level, one of the things I found most attractive about the Democratic party was a commitment to forgiveness and judging a person by his or her body of work. in the case of Franken Democratic friends like Ellison took an old photo out of context, blew it up and ran him out of the Senate just when we needed all the powerful voices we could find. Not even the “victim” wanted that result. i say shame on every hypocrite like Ellison. .

Well, I really wish that the Green/Naderite/Bernie self righteous wing (of which Ellison supporters are members) would remember “We are in a fight to save our country, We must get Dems elected. Your anger will accomplish nothing.” You might start with Bernie Sanders who is again refusing to accept the Democratic nomination in his state last night. Continue with Susan Sarandon. Nina Turner, Tulsi Gabbard and all the people who are too hip to vote for the Democrats in this period of our history. And who helped W get elected the first time.

I think it is totally relevant that Keith Ellison and his supporters (including Senator Klobuchar) all railroaded Al Franken, but different rules apply to Ellison now.

We will grow out of this ‘witch hunt’ phase. In fact, I think we’re done with it. May the best one win.

Really? Witch Hunt? You gonna invoke that phrase right now.

If it takes a slimeball like Ellison to save the country it is not worth saving.

I think Franken will be back.

Says you. I find your comment totally out of place. We need to win. You need to focus.
