Actually he does have an opponent Chris Fedalei an attorney.

So will we get a final report on Benghazi from this select committee at the same time we’ll get the Republican answer to Obamacare?

TPM:

Gowdy’s actions, coupled with delays that have pushed the 2-year-old inquiry into the heat of the 2016 presidential race, “have damaged the credibility of the Select Committee beyond repair,” Cummings and Smith wrote Sunday in a letter to Gowdy.

I’m not sure the Select Committee ever had enough credibility to warrant repair, but, if it did, then it lost it when Hillary Clinton outperformed and outlasted the entire committee in an 11 hour marathon session where the Republicans on the committee made international jackasses of themselves.

What is left in lieu of perpetual hearsay, innuendo and out right bullshit and inability of the committee to conclude anything but for Gowdy to reprise his role in the 'Deliverance" movie series…up next…“Banjo player goes to Congress” with predictable results…

The previous senate investigation did a clearly sperior investigation and exhonerated hillary. Funny I have had trouble locating that summary.

Matt Wolking, a spokesman for the Benghazi committee, called the Democrats’ letter “dishonest” and a waste of time, adding: "Democrats’ false attacks on legitimate congressional oversight are proof they’re nervous about the new information committee investigators have uncovered.

This is up there with Trump and his investigators in Hawaii looking for the real birth certificate and OJ “looking for the real killers” on the golf course.

Funny how Gowdy et al never mention that…

Just ask Rep. Kevin McCarthy, almost successor to John Boehner as Speaker of the House, until he let the truth slip out.

Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened, had we not fought.

And yet absolutely no one can point to a single lie (other than her traumatic memory of landing in Bosnia under sniper fire, when obviously she was told there were snipers in the hills around the airport). I have asked repeatedly for ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE of her lying, and have gotten nothing even from the Sandersbots who regularly call her a liar.

The rationale, according to them, is that she “will be lying about her proposals now, because she will shift once in office.” Nice try folks.

This is on the same order as the moderator asking Sanders to offer ONE SINGLE VOTE by Clinton that he could say showed the undue influence of WS or corporate money on her: NOTHING. And he was asked again during an interview the next morning, and still had nothing.

During the period when they overlapped in office they voted together 93 percent of the time. This may account for part of his reluctance to name any particular vote.

We can donate to him at Act Blue.

Get that man some money. Now.

Seems to me like someone’s begging for another ass-kicking from Hillary.

One month after Benghazi, this happened!

First, he doesn’t sound like a spokesman for the committee, just for Gowdy. Second, Mr. Wolking, what new information has the committee investigated? Do tell.

The committee has an obligation to the American people to determine what can and cannot be substantiated, so if an individual makes public allegations about Benghazi, the committee should interview that person.

They haven’t talked to all the witnesses after FSM knows how many years and hearings? They haven’t talked to the spewers who turned out not to have firsthand information? They haven’t talked to everyone remotely connected with the case? If not, they’re misusing taxpayer money. I agree with General Chipman that someone who makes public allegations should be interviewed. Take all of five minutes to determine if they know anything.

What? Are you saying Barry Hermanson, Bob Miller and Preston Picus (none of whom hold elected office) have no chance against Pelosi? I’ll believe that when I see it.

Gowdy Doody and his coconspirators seem to be adhering to the Reagan theory of investigations; they keep digging in that pile of horse excrement because they just know at the bottom is a pony.

Why do Republicans hate America???

Let’s be accurate. Sociopaths hear ONLY their inner craziness.
