Not until Miller and Kelly go.
I hate to be repetitive, but I post this for the third time todayâŚand hope it is not the case (but fear that it is).
Unfortunately, they probably have to accept a deal that will include a deal on the wall (hoping to zero it out when they re-take control). But the deal should include an up-or-down vote on the bi-partisan DACA bill that we know is supported by a majority in both houses, and by a certain date. Not just a vote on some unstated immigration âreformâ at some time in the future, or on some unstated âreformâ by a certain date.
Dumb dumb dumb so they will take the word of a serial lier.
The wall funding better not be in there either.
Ask Susan Collins how much McConnellâs âpromiseâ is worth.
Given everything else weâve seen from Trumpâs wrecking crew so far, for all we know the Dems get DACA in return for giving up on the Bill of Rights.
Pussies. What happens to DACA participants until this vote in the future? Will they be protected until this vote takes place?
CaveâŚwtfâŚ
âWe cannot negotiate with people who say whatâs mine is mine and whatâs yours is negotiable." [The Berlin Crisis: Radio and Television Address to the American People (The White House, July 25, 1961)]â â John F. Kennedy
A PROMISE?!? Are you fracking kidding me?!?
Senate Democrats are on the brink of accepting a deal to end the government shutdown in exchange for the promise of a vote on the DREAM Act in the coming weeks, three sources tell TPM.
did âCecilâ get Trumpâs say so?
nope
Omg and when the GOP screws u again then whatâŚdems are so fucking gutlessâŚ
The deal should be a vote on CHIP, then DACA, then CR, in order of importance.
If thereâs a âpromiseâ involved, theyâd better carve it in McConnellâs forehead.
And then demand a vote on DACA and CHIP before the CR, becauseâŚRyan.
ETA: And, Iâd just like to see something carved in McConnellâs forehead. For some reason, Iâm feeling a bit sadistic today.
And the Dems snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. Life as the political version of Groundhogâs DayâŚ
Because we know that Republicans would never go back on a promise, particularly one signed in water.
And this is the gop always wins they donât mind taking hostages to get what they want
