I love our Blue zombie candidates who just keep walking slowly, slowly to the victory line and never die.
This doesn’t seem like a wave so much as a slow leak in the basement. The result is the same. A flood.

I dream of a day when everyone is allowed to vote, when voting is made easy for all people, and when every vote is counted before any winners are declared. I actually thought that was the country I was in when I was 12 - I was shaken to learn as a teenager about Jim Crow and all of the other devious machinations depriving people across the country of their basic rights. Fifty-five years later, this country still has never even been close to that simple democratic standard.
I remember in my late 20s and early 30s, despairing about how the Orange County GOP was constantly ginning up these “Ballot Initiatives” on taxes and culture wars issues to get the aging demographic of Ronald Reagan worshipers to keep turning out. One of their Ballot Initiatives, one that they WON, turned out to be the Poison Fucking Pill that killed the California GOP. I am waiting for McCarthy and Devin Nunes to lose one day, hopefully not too far in the future.
I traveled in California in my 30s (mid 80s) and remember noticing or feeling that there was this strong Conservative strain to the Environmentalism of the State. So, besides shooting themselves in the foot with Latino voters, the GOP has embraced no nothing-ism on the Environment. Which is another California problem for them.
Pretty funny that OC voted out its GOP US Reps in part because the Reps went along with the Trumpp tax-cut scam and didn’t actively oppose his white-nationalism vision for our country.
So great to see this! I phone banked and sent post cards for the TJ Cox campaign through an East Bay Democratic group that was heavily involved in the GOTV for this race. They also sent canvassers to his district.
