Love Maisie. And yup, Janus needs to be the retort to every smug, duplicitous assertion of “settled law” throughout these hearings, whether from Kavanaugh, the simpering Collins, or any other source.

More table pounding passion please! You want your clip on the news, Tweets, etc.

so if trump gets impeached, is there a way to get both of his bozos off the supreme court?

Simple answer, No.
Or any of the other appointments the Republicans have been shoveling through the system at high speed.

It’s going to take 20 years to set right what has been done.

Cap,

From my reading, it should be Constitutionally permissible to impeach any Senate-confirmed officers, including Supreme Court Justices.

So if it’s ever possible to impeach “X”, then it’s equally possible to impeach any and all appointments by “X”.

The key to proper impeachment may be the ‘order’ in which it’s done - statements by Senators such as what was recorded in this story may be helpful to any Impeachment process.

You are correct, I spoke in haste.
That is the way the rules read. But politically, it would be as bad to purge all the Trump appointments to the bench as leaving them in place. After he is gone, we need to retake the high ground (riffing off M. Obama), not sink deeper in banana republicanism.
