Hahaaaa. Almost makes me want to drive 50 miles to Bakersfield.
I assure you that you are not alone in that sentiment.
He’s more than that - Nunes is a co-conspirator and will be swept up along with All The King’s Horses Asses.
The Senate minority leader, through an aide, informed the White
House on Monday that he was retracting the offer he made last week to
give Trump well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding…
Ouch, ouch, ouch. Didn’t even make the call himself. Huge smile on my face.
No!
ETA: His district is in the Central Valley – probably 200 miles north of where I am. I think that he represents the towns where both of my parents grew up.
My wish is, since tRump and his toadies want to take us back to another century, that we bring back old style public humiliation for terds like Nunes, Mulvaney, Mnuchin, Kobach, Pruitt etc.
Schumer’s been in this game of politics for decades and he ain’t no dummy. He knew exactly what he was doing yesterday and the pearl clutchers can’t/won’t understand the long game.
This “no funding the wall!” alone will set off another Twaitor Twitler rant which will win him the response “Why do you need funding from the US taxpayer when you guaranteed that Mexico would pay for your wall?”
Yeah, and if we go back in time, no modern medicine (or modern drugs) either.
What would it take to get a selfie in front of that sign?
…I wish I had one of myself.
I’ve been watching the Australian Open but it looks like the US Open is happening right now between two New Yorkers in Washington, DC
Yup, and Nunes Memo is a part of this.
Well, if you’re not doing anything, you could go for a drive. A very, very long drive.
My theory is that Nunes didn’t actually do anything wrong, commit any crimes before or during the campaign. He’s just stupid! He’s doing all this running around caping for PP because he’s too stupid to understand what a monumentally bad idea it is. Yes, he’s raised his profile. People know who he is now, and they know now that he’s a despicable creature who, outside of his district, will never be elected to higher office. His behavior is that of someone who is very guilty, but my gut tells me he’s just stupid. Stupid enough that he involved himself on the back end of a vast criminal conspiracy out of some pathetic sense of loyalty to a man who wouldn’t piss on him with a full bladder if he were on fire. He’ll be the guy sitting on the toilet in prison trying to figure out how the hell it all went so wrong.
He’s a dairy farmer who thinks that he’s a lawyer when all he really knows is cowshit.
I’m with you on this.
I can’t wait for this whole “Democrats lost” narrative to blow over as this continues to play out.
That has a nice catchy ring to it.
Nah. I think he’s that guy who thinks that he has the most brilliant idea ever for concealing his malfeasance, and that no one would possibly suspect him if he just robs the mcdonalds by climbing in through a roof vent.
I don’t get the pure-clown read on things (although I agree Nunes is not the sharpest puukko in Murmansk), but the mental image gets a thumbs-up.
Really. Securing 6 years of CHIP plus punting DACA to McConnell for a vote makes sense.
DACA polls at well over 80% and the Dreamers can browbeat him and his house colleagues. His wife is a immigrant after all.
This is the best deal Particularly when you have 10 red states or states that Trump eaked out a win with Democratic Senators who are up in November.
I googled “how many Russians in CA District 22?” and the first result was David Nunes…
Considering that this district is majority minority (44% Hispanic, 7.3% Asian, 2% African-American) and Kamala Harris got more votes than Trump did in 2016, it looks ripe for flipping.
