Discussion: Delta CEO: 'We Are Not Taking Sides' By Cutting Ties With NRA

Yes it’s driving me crazy since whatever they did last. I can barely get anything to load and it reminds me of when I was on dialup to a single server in Gunnison and loading a site took half a day and a phone call to Gunnison to ask if the server was down again.

So far I am very proud of Delta. They have stepped up. If they would announce that they are thinking about moving their hub to another state we would find out just how committed the Republicans are to the NRA.

My guess is that in a few days there will be a quiet compromise and Delta will get its tax break.

Our Prime membership dollars at work. One of the reasons they’re not getting any more of mine.

Solid gold, and not in a Trumppian way.

“It definitely could have an effect when an outside company looks at something that happens this quickly around election time to one of the largest employers in the state,” said William Hatcher, a professor at Augusta University who studies economic development. “But will it be the dominant factor? I don’t think so.”

But will it be a factor an outside company uses to seek further advantage in negotiations? I think so.

I complained about some problems I was having, too strange to describe and I got an email response from Jackie Wilhelm, Site Issues to see if I needed further help. Didn’t at that point. But I have other issues around Prime as well.

Wow. I emailed the other day to tell them the site wasn’t loading for me at all and nobody answered me.

They must like you.

I was surprised to get a response. Maybe it’s the 50 buckeroos I forked over. FYI Maddow’s co-constructed today’s NYT X-word puzzle. Try to get your hands on it.

I’m prime too.

O well - perhaps you had a different type of problem and it was one they wanted to address.

I’ll look and see if I can find the puzzle - thanks.

But telling. You have to crush the dissent, right? Or it slowly chips away at your stranglehold.

I for one am desperately hoping to see Amazon point to this little episode and say “Atlanta. You’re off the list.”

I was having login in problems, had to change passwords, that wasn’t working, I kept at it. But I didn’t hear from TPM until 24 hours later.

O that makes it very much more understandable. I can see why she responded. That’s a particular problem that they can do something about. I made a general complaint.

“We had to send a message,” state Sen. Michael Williams, another GOP gubernatorial candidate, told “Fox & Friends” on Friday. He said Delta had “tried to interfere in the legislative process.”

holy… wtf? How exactly does Delta removing a discount previously given to some of its customers interfere with the legislative process??

Gotta give them props for that. They basically just shoved it right up the Georgia GOP’s ass.

Perhaps someone needs to read the entire legislation they passed with this tax break - there may be something in it about an NRA discount.

That sounds like something the NRA would lobby for and Ga. state pols would agree to.
