This Vietnam Vet says more power to ANYONE who wants to serve and is willing to put their life on the line. Those so very few allow the rest of the chicken hawks to sit on the couch and complain about unfairly how the world treats them.
Supposedly you have combat experience based on your opening sentence. But based on the quoted statements I’m willing to bet you don’t. If someone is wounded from my experience the only thing on anyone’s mind upon rendering aide is exactly that “rendering aide”, sex, orientation, color, politics, etc never enter the frame of reference.
