Nice 1040-shaming. Posturing for 2020?
I have a feeling we’ll look back on the “tax returns!” clamor as small potatoes in light of the real issues that come to light with DJT. The speeding ticket vs. the bodies buried in the back yard.
But here’s hoping his bloody axe is in the trunk of the car when he gets pulled over, moving us closer to uncovering the bodies…
I don’t know or care if he’s going to run, but every Democrat of any prominence whatsoever Democratic officeholder should be doing this.
(Edited because I couldn’t think of a reason why I’d want to exempt anyone from this expectation.)
President Trump and his Republican enablers in Congress
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
That’s indeed one of my key criteria when deciding who to support.
It’s like saying to a serial spouse abuser, look, I’ve stopped beating her, can’t you do the same. Very noble, but since when has shaming ever deterred trumPP.
@geofu54 Someday soon his R support in Congress is going to dip because those professional pols are beginning to see how unpopular he his and they can’t keep supporting him blindly and still retain their well-paid seat.
Looks like this is getting some legs.
No tax reform without tax returns.
Notice also that it makes possible critical reporting. For example, about de Blasio’s property tax policy.
Â
THIS IS A GOOD THING.
Â
Give me a candidate (for whatever office) who can say with a straight face “I’ve never hidden anything from you” over a candidate who has to say “well, now, see, the thing is, I can explain” any day.
Trump: De Blasio is poor as compare to me. His tax return is so so bad, I wouldnt have released it if I was him. No way I am showing others how rich I really am. I am really rich!
I know ordinary people who pay way more, and that’s for their only, primary residence.
Hopefully this will help add pressure on him to get started with “whatever (wtf?)” reform efforts. It may well be an unintended consequence for the mayor, but that’s the way it should be…
Nice job sir. Mayor De Blasio believes in public service though. The same can’t be said of the guy now occupying the White House however. For him, its all about the “Art of the Steal”.
The way the Truth offspring is benefiting from public office we might as well ask for their returns as well.
I dunno… personally, I think that “follow the money” is likely to be the real bang-for-the-buck when it comes to investigations.
Agreed. But I bet the real Trump money couldn’t pick out Trump’s tax return from a lineup.
Nobody but Democrats, liberal activist and those on forums like this care about Trump’s Taxes. BTW, save the links to polls, because if it really mattered then Trump wouldn’t have been elected.
Then McConnell will just end the filibuster for all Senate actions if the Democrats take that position.
