BFD. He is not the mayor of Long Island, he has no control over the MTA or the LIRR. As your article points out, we are no longer living in the 18th century; if he is really needed in the city, I’m pretty sure it’s not going to take him three months to return from Europe. Granted, the optics are not great, but I’m pretty sure the man is entitled to take some time off. Rupert Murdoch is still desperate to smear Mr. DeBlasio; it ain’t working, smart guy.
The Mayor has been on the job for 7 months…and he already has 10 vacation days???
