Whether or not The Cork wins their suit, this is certainly great marketing.

They are giving a great example of why conflict of interest laws are important. Here’s hoping that they don’t do the usual Trump out of court settlement.

Plaintiffs will have to prove that Trump’s involvement in the hotel hurt their business more than if the hotel were owned/managed by someone else, and why this constitutes unfair competition. Not sure they can.

They should also have sought a writ of mandamus that GSA do its fucking job and declare Trump et al. in default of the Lease. The suit highlights a nice talking point though: Trump is using the Presidency to screw over local small business owners when he can directly benefit from doing so…some “business-friendly” POTUS he is, eh?

I believe it didn’t work for the Big Dog because the Flowers suit was based on acts that preceded his term as President. TOSG wasn’t in violation of his lease until he was inaugurated.

On the other hand, they are really only suing to have the terms of the GSA lease enforced. I don’t think there is any question that TOSG should sell that contract. Or better, resign the office.

“In a press conference announcing the lawsuit on Thursday, the owners of the bar said that they have seen a downturn in business since the inauguration.”

This is surprising. I would have thought alcohol consumption had risen to the point where all providers would have benefitted.

watch it diane you will get your coochie grabbed by a retarded orange baboon

As we learned from the Clinton civil prosecutions, the real damage is what is said in broad discovery.

I long to see text books in 30 years, “Traitor President Toppled by Tiny Winebar”.

tRump has a long history of breaaking contracts and getting away with it, this is just another case to that and the GOP is not about to do diddly. If the Dems had any balls this and many other offenses would be in the media daily but they can’t seem to get the messages out.

No. Its a personal lawsuit against Trump the individual (or the deeper pockets Trump Organization). Trump Org of course has no reason for the Federal government to defend it, and Trump the individual is totally fair game thanks to KAC’s husband work during the Clinton years. And totally on his own dime.

Please, please, please. Put a cork in Him.

The government contract is being blatantly violated to directly benefit Preshitident Trump. Local businesses cannot compete on an even playing field with the Preshitident and First Lady (Washington DC) Ivanka Trump’s business.

These aren’t the only folks suing Trump.

No,I think if any comparison is warranted it would be of Trump as President compared to Trump the private citizen

All it’s going to take is one business owner to get the ball rolling. Hundreds will follow.

This is very good  news!

It’s just a matter of time that other corporations who will be filing similar lawsuits too.

I am planning a retirement Happy Hour…looking up Cork.
