Didn’t Don the Con and his acolytes despise Assange last go 'round? They were going to arrest him if I remember correctly.
Oh well, that was then and this now, and they need him now more than ever.

Is that a horizontal pivot, or a vertical pivot? Or is there a twist in there, somewhere?
Regardless, T rump is a contortionist with the truth.
But, but Robert Mercer loves cats, cats not dogs.
Hmm who was it that financed a book and then movie smearing the Clintons? Who was it? Does anyone else remember who produced Clinton Cash?
I’m always struck when some otherwise awful person loves cats, because I get a huge kick out of cats myself. But I don’t think better of Robert Mercer because of it. Cats are awesome, and worthy of being appreciated by the awful and the non-awful alike. If Robert Mercer likes cats the cats get the credit for that.
But the Republicans don’t care who paid for it. They are making a huge stink about it because they hope that will somehow deflect attention from its contents, but they don’t actually care who paid for it. Just because they are screaming about it, doesn’t mean we should give it any oxygen (to mix some metaphors).
This is just the latest football they are placing, hoping the Democrats will try to kick it. If the Democrats chase this football, they’ll pull a Lucy and put down a different football for the Dems to kick (e.g. “Steele would have voted for Hillary if he’d been an American citizen”). There’s no benefit to playing that game with them. We need to get the real facts out and not let them distract with false narratives.
If Bush, or Cruz, or any other Republican candidate paid for that research, i want to know. Republicans will either have to shut up, or start eating their own. No one need say anything other than who started paying for that oppo research. I fail to see any false football in that.
“it was rejected by WikiLeaks.”
Nice euphemism.
I rejected the offer the other day to buy my Lotus Esprit (I don’t have one).

Wikileaks simply didn’t have the goods, because Clinton’s emails were not hacked at all as far as we know.
A) 1,000 likes M
B) I hardly know of any dastard who likes cats, the trope, meme, cliche of evil supervillains liking cats is lazy writing on screenwriter’s part
they don’t give a damn about dem reaction - will the press wearily follow this in pursuit of their suicidal false equivalency? that’s their hope
I dunno, I think you’re both right. I think it’s important to point out that it was a Republican who originally commissioned the research, Democrats continued it after Republicans backed off, and the FBI thought the findings were so important and so credible that they took the baton from the Democrats after the election.
Well there’s this guy

and even this guy

Data Guru’s Assange Outreach Is Trump Camp’s Closest Tie To WikiLeaks Yet
“And Leon’s getting larger!”
real supervillains wear black gloves when they pet their cats
(puts cigarette in long black cigarette holder and pets cat)
And then there’s the Godfather

Much of this crowd is baffled by brilliance, and perhaps not coincidentally, seems often dazzled by bullshit.
Does anyone remember who made a secret deal with the scurrilous author to publish the totally bullshit hit book? Could it have been the “liberal” Gray Lady? Or the WaPo or was it both?
Josh makes a good point in a post: Trump is still actively aiding Russia in its influence and disinformation campaign. He is committing treason right now.
Trump just bragged to Lou Dobbs that he "invented " fake news. God damn him, and smite him with his right hand, Robert Mueller!
see, cat lovers are nice family men.
