Who is “they”?
Because I haven’t seen nor heard anyone proclaim their love for Mitt. In fact, most people I know are scratching their head wondering why the “liberal” media is so quick to put a mic in his face asking him questions about issues like he’s a fucking statesman now. I keep wishing he’d go the hell away.

No one is going to accuse Perino of being the sharpest knife in the drawer, but this is a product of how conservatives really think along totally tribal lines. She doesn’t understand what “policy” is, despite using the word. Did she understand the concept, it totally explains what is mystifying her.
She doesn’t disagree with liberal policies, she hates liberals because they are the other tribe. How can they now support something Romney said (because that must mean they love him)? Don’t they understand Romney’s still from the other tribe?
We are in a post-policy political world with Republicans. I don’t recall who I first heard articulating this concept, but it’s a mistake trying to understand their positions in any other context, because without that realization, they are just nonsensical.

It didn’t get much notice amid the buildup to Super Tuesday. But after conservative outcry over his support for raising the minimum wage, Mitt Romney quietly reversed his position this week.
“There’s probably not a need to raise the minimum wage,” the Republican front-runner told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow on Monday.

It’s Dana Perino. Being baffled by her bafflement is a bigger surprise to me, as this woman is constantly befuddled by anything more complicated than buttering a piece of toast.
And where does she get that people noting this particular Romney one-off means suddenly that progressives are accepting of his entire economic position or a conservative agenda? It’s the human Etch-a-Sketch FFS, not like he hasn’t already put on record a flip flop on this very subject, and not like he won’t do it again when the conservative noise machine starts bleating endlessly.
