The threshold for a finding by the jury is different (beyond a reasonable doubt vs. preponderance of the evidence). Generally speaking, the rules of evidence of are the same, but can be applied differently given the kinds of issues that come up in a criminal case versus civil (evidence of prior crimes or prior bad acts, for instance). Rules of procedure, which dictate everything from filings to discovery to trial, are also different.
