WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)âHinting darkly that âthereâs something going on,â Donald J. Trump complained on Friday that he has been treated âvery unfairlyâ by the people who wrote the United States Constitution.
âIf the Constitution prevented me from doing one or two things, Iâd chalk that up to bad luck,â he said. âBut when literally everything I want to do is magically a violation of the Constitution, thatâs very unfair and bad treatment.â
Lashing out at the documentâs authors, Trump said that âAmerica is a great country, but we have maybe the worst constitution writers in the world.â
âRussia has much better constitution writers than we do,â he said. âI talked to Putin, and he said their constitution never gives him problems.â
âThe situation is very unfair!â he added.
In an ominous warning, Trump said that, as of Friday, he was putting the writers of the U.S. Constitution âon notice.â
âI donât have their names yet, but thatâs something Iâm looking into,â he said. âThese jokers are not going to get away with this.â
@coprophagoussmile Itâs the fish rotting from the head down sydrome at play in the so called presidency.
I would put priority on revoking Steve Bannonâs security clearance, he also has no place being involved in national security measures.
"Do you agree with the Democratic leader in the House,
Nancy Pelosi, that his security clearance should be
revoked, pending the completion of the investigation?"
And lock him up in the meantime â
Two options:
(A) Trump keeps Flynn on to spite the stupid, awful, mean intelligence community.
(B) Trump fires Flynn and replaces him with someone else unfit for the post. Iâve read that Petraeus is in the running, but it could just as easily be his caddy at Mar-a-Diablo.
Flynn, Bannon, Miller, Conway, Priebus, Spicer, Kushner, Trump, PenceâŚif you want to get rid of the rot youâre going to need to condemn the whole White House.
It would be appropriate to revoke Trumpâs security clearance. On second thought would it make any difference?
Leaning towards B
However McCain and Graham will try to have their say and Trump will probably get hitched to a âRussia Hawkâ who will attempt to not ârock the boatâ.
I suspect Flynn will resign eventually to âspend more time with his familyâ.
He said that Flynn is supposed to âmake sure that these kinds of things donât happenâ as part of his role as national security advisor.
Weâre supposed to be comfortably secure having Flynn in this role why exactly?
Flynn is not the first member of the General Officer Corps to have gone off the rails. When this happens theyâre typically given a pat on the back for their prior service and retired
Weâll have to wait until all the tweets are in.
And it would be âinappropriateâ not to. So, it probably wonât happen (until charges are filed).
Here is a pretty amazing story from the Observer. http://observer.com/2017/02/donald-trump-administration-mike-flynn-russian-embassy/
Sample:" In light of this, and out of worries about the White Houseâs ability to keep secrets, some of our spy agencies have begun withholding intelligence from the Oval Office. Why risk your most sensitive information if the president may ignore it anyway? A senior National Security Agency official explained that NSA was systematically holding back some of the âgood stuffâ from the White House, in an unprecedented move. For decades, NSA has prepared special reports for the presidentâs eyes only, containing enormously sensitive intelligence. In the last three weeks, however, NSA has ceased doing this, fearing Trump and his staff cannot keep their best SIGINT secretsâŚ
Whatâs going on was explained lucidly by a senior Pentagon intelligence official, who stated that âsince January 20, weâve assumed that the Kremlin has ears inside the SITROOM,â meaning the White House Situation Room, the 5,500 square-foot conference room in the West Wing where the president and his top staffers get intelligence briefings. âThereâs not much the Russians donât know at this point,â the official added in wry frustration."
This whole article is definitely worth a read. Sounds like things are coming to a head awfully quickly.
âDo you agree with the Democratic leader in the House, Nancy Pelosi, that his security clearance should be revoked, pending the completion of the investigation?â
In our normal world we wouldnât have been asking that question â it was entirely inappropriate to grant a security clearance to the guy in the first place and hence he wouldnât have had one now.
Outrageous! How will Putin ever get American classified info if Flynnâs security clearance is revoked??
Iâm a big fan of Rep Cummings but iâm not convinced that Pence is an innocent victim here. He has lied through his teeth before and probably did so with this Russian Ambassador thing as well.
If Trump fires Flynn, he looks weak. As if he kowtowed to pressure.
But if he keeps Flynn on, the flames start licking at his own boots in the Oval Office. So, I guess it means Flynn has to fall on his sword.
But who knows with this bunch?
A few quick snapshots of donnies desk while on a âtourâ ? ? âŚ
I think PeePee will hold on to Flynn for as long as possible because to back down now shows the world yet another âlossâ for him. Plus, this has the added bonus of appearing that his hand was forced by the {gasp} media, the Dems and anyone else who questions his absolute power.
The same would be true of SpiceBoy - canât let a girl force him out.
Yes. As Louise Mensch pointed out Pence has had access to the intelligence agenciesâ readout for the past several weeks. Everything about Flynnâs discussion with the Russian ambassador would have been there. Heâs not just learning about this now.
He already looks weak. He backed off China. He seems to have backed off N. Korea, and he lost the no entry EO in the courts, and the Ex Off is leaking like a sieve. Heâs surrounded by a bunch of lackys who donât seem like they have the balls to tell him that emporer has no clothes.
