At first glance it harked back to an old film I saw in 1964 called “Donovan’s Reef”, in which John Wayne turned a woman he was attracted to on his knee and spanked her.

In this scene (which I am sure that women everywhere will embrace) the lady (spankee) “resisted” the spanking until (while still on Wayne’s knee) she was treated to Wayne’s kiss…after which her legs flailed ever so slowly until she eagerly gobbled up the love…

There are so many sexist metaphors that Cruz is using. The above is just one.

Why is it that the guys in the Republican Party who are the most creepy and repulsive (Huckabee, Santorum, Cruz, etc.) insist on dealing with images suggesting sexuality?

I notice that when Cruz (or Trump) say anything wildly offensive, you can always hear their audiences chuckling and/or clapping in approval. Violence against women and children is an everyday part of their lives. These astoundingly narcissistic men represent more than just themselves – they are the rotten totems of a culture that is in the process of dying and this is their goddamn last stand.
