It would be if Cruz were POTUS. If he got a “mean question” from a member of the press, I can see him whine about it and leave the room. Guy seems to think that he gets to call all of the shots. Very immature.
Comcast made the decision for me to not watch the Faux debate. Their digital feed on my basic cable TV cuts out too much, and I’m too lazy to get it fixed because frankly…I hate Faux and its not worth it. I hate it though that it sometimes does that same thing when my team is playing hockey on Faux sports.
He always debates the rules that he thinks aren’t favorable to him. He did this from the get go in the Senate.
I was thinking more of a major world crisis that has no real alternative that looks good. Would Cruz go all petulant and stomp out of the Situation Room?
He is so like Nixon in this regard.
Jerk, Weasel and Crybaby.
Because we only want to attack each other when we want to attack each other and not when you provide opportunities for us to attack each other unless we like the opportunities…
I think both would be a disaster as president – but on a purely visceral level,I hate Cruz infinitely more. Its his Christian smugness that just unnerves me. I truly hope for terrible things to happen to him every time I see him. Just do. Can’t help it.
Thanks for the advice. I turned it off and I feel better already!
It occurs to me that none of the big, bag, huffing and puffing Republicans could carry Obama’s jock strap. Do they even know what “mean” really is? They can’t even fathom the invective language and disrespect that Barack has had to endure…and this isn’t even during a debate. We’re talking about State of the Union addresses and the like.
Hell, I doubt they could even handle the heat Hillary has had to deal with. What a bunch of wimps. Mind you, I have nothing against a person of weak physical stature or mental fortitude. But when you puff your chest out and use all of that bully rhetoric while stumping on the campaign and the like, and then wimp out when a conservative propaganda network doesn’t toss softballs at you, you open yourself up to ridicule. They are pathetic.
Myself, it was Mysteries at the Museum. But presently I’m gonna detour into reading Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings for a while yet again. It beats the tawdry and cheap yet oh so Yuuuge and classy Trumpian bullshit we are subject to for the next few months. I so want either Sanders or Hillary to verbally spear that man such that he has no answer. A public beyatch slapping of epic size and intensity.
Hey, I can dream…
I am so happy —
I don’t have any need to choose between ANY of these assholes ! —
… says it all (3 times fast) right there…
… when life imitates art…
That guy is a fucking Android. I’m sure of it. He doesn’t use contractions at all like Data, only Data is a lot more knowledgable and a lot more endearing.
… no, Teddie’s an early model Terminator - a T-404 … decommissioned before full deployment because “I’ll be back.” came out as " I may have to leave the stage"…
That’s it. Trump’s gonna win the nomination. This plays right into his claim that (1) He was right to call this debat unfair, and (2) his main opponent is a whimpering coward. (Read Josh’s analysis of the dynamic of dominance Trump is employing.)
Thats actually not true. Rubio has been showing a steady rise, both in public polls, and apparently in several campaign’s internal polling. By all accounts, he will finish at least a strong third in Iowa.
Cruz is having problems, but he is still running pretty tight in Iowa, and definitely has a much bigger and better ground presence than Trump does. My guess is he wins Iowa by a hair, with Trump just barely holding on to #2 against a much closer #3 Rubio than people expect. My feeling, and obviously its not based on any data, is that Trump didn’t do himself any favors tonight.
New Hampshire is pretty wide open I think, especially if Trump doesn’t win Iowa. Much of course will depend upon his minute by minute antics. Its his to lose, however..and I think he has to literally shoot someone in the middle of the street to lose it. After him, however, NH becomes a jump ball. Bush, Kasich, Rubio, Christie and Cruz are all within the margin of error of each other, and Paul is just on the outside of that curve. Until we see those results, is pretty hard to guess what is going to go down in SC and beyond.
This was a colossal fail on Cruz’s part. Epic I think is the word today. He was already being roundly booed for whining, and then when he tried to half joke/half threaten about leaving, you could literally feel him lose the audience. And I don’t think he ever got it back.
He may still pull out a win, or possibly a close second, but I think, combined with everything else going wrong for him right now, he seriously damaged, perhaps mortally, his chances at the nomination tonight.
