Discussion for article #239662

This is not news, really. I expected nothing better from Canadian ancre bebe Cruz.

Sigh…I could say something…I can’t think of what to say.

When a reader called in on Monday to say Mickelson’s plan sounded quite
similar to slavery, the host replied, “What’s wrong with slavery?”

What’s wrong with impaling right-wing shock jocks?

I suppose it is too much to hope for that any real American would just tell this DJ that pretty much everything is wrong with slavery and that you (the DJ) should be mortified and appalled to having made such a series of statements. And that the just an entertainer defense is actually no defense.

If such a statement were made in say 1955 most Americans would flat out condemn the speaker as an ignorant racist weak minded pathetic creep, but now it’s countenenced by the Tea Party wing of the GOP.

I don’t want to “take my Country back” (whatever that means) as have better Countrypeople in it.

Ted doesn’t seem to have a clue about what being an American truly means.

Here’s what I find amusing about this yahoo’s comments about enslaving illegals: This guy says they’re freeloaders and a drain on our society. What’s his solution? Make them the property of the state, which, presumably, will now be responsible for providing these “freeloaders” with three hot meals and a place to sleep.

Yes, that will teach them not to be freeloading!

I’m telling you now…this guy is an opportunist of the worst sort and is pure evil. He’s on par with Darth Cheney. I can smell his rot clear across the country. He has no moral center, no true north, no honest core to his being. He’s hateful and menacing to all that is good about this country. Its bad enough he’s a sitting US Senator…but then again…Texass.

Any candidate who would “chat” with this outspoken slavery enthusiast, as opposed to loudly and clearly denouncing him and his sociopathic policy proposals, has disgraced himself beyond redemption, and disqualified himself for public office of any kind. Is there really no depth to which these cretins will not descend in pursuit of a few more votes from the hate-based base?

“Whats wrong with slavery?” There goes what little African American votes that were up for graps. Quite a week for the GOP: managing to alienate everyone who isn’t old, straight and white.

I think it is basic common sense that we shouldn’t be incentivizing illegal immigration

We shouldn’t allow morons, bigots, and cowards to vote either, but no practical system has been devised that doesn’t also unfairly impact regular folks.

The good of birthright citizenship clearly outweighs the bad.

What’s wrong with slavery? Nothing.

Except for that whole slavery thing. Other than that, it’s great, especially if you’re not the slave.

…conservative Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson proposed punishing undocumented immigrants by making them “property of the state” and putting them into “compelled labor…

Yea, slavery! Certainly, let’s chain those Indian students with expired visas to their desks and make them write code for free.

Once undocumented immigrants become “property of the state” - - can they be used for medical experiments?
… just trying to find out how deep this puddle of stupid might be.
