Discussion: Cruz Quick To Bash Trump Opposition To North Carolina Anti-LGBT Law

Not every transgender person has gender reassignment surgery. Many choose not to do so.

Still though, nobody should care which gender person is in the restroom. As Bill Maher said, his house growing up had a unisex bathroom and he turned out OK.

Personally I’d be happy if Girl Scouts would quit harassing me as I entered the grocery.

The numerous times I’ve been in large malls or airports, I can’t tell you how many times there were kids–both boys and girls–running in and out of BOTH bathrooms. Nobody seemed bothered.

Hummm, should a gentleman mind if a lady takes a crap in a right winger’s urinal?

Probably not the most convincing argument to offer to the Teatrolls though haha

And to be fair, how many people grew up in a house with a unisex bathroom that had more than one toilet and people using them at the same time? I mean, I get the joke and there’a partial point there, but we do know that the point is not one-person bathrooms.

Ted, creepy, creepy Ted…the fact that you have “impure thoughts” when imagining being a “grown man in a bathroom with little girls” says more about you than it does about anyone else.

Urinals are definitely the problem.

Oh the lucky people who didn’t have to share bathrooms in realtime in the morning

More applicable though, when I was in college we had unisex bathrooms. The novelty wore off quickly (less than a week I think). It’s just no big deal.

Public restrooms are skeezy in general. Don’t let a kid go into one alone or without being right outside. The whole gender angle is just dumb. People need to evolve beyond it.

Edit (addition): Furthermore, if the GOP had their way we wouldn’t even have public restrooms anymore. Anybody who can’t afford to patronize a store and use their restroom should be arrested and thrown into jail.

Passing social legislation to cure imaginary problems: I thought conservatives were against big government intrusion into private lives. How will this law be enforced, I wonder? Genital inspection?

Every time I visualize a gender-neutral bathroom, I think of Ally McBeal—and I hear Barry White in the background.

the complaint describes the urinal as “indecent,” “offensive to the senses,” “grossly unseemly,” and “offensive to manners and morals.”

Great link, thanks. Clearly these people are shamed by their own humanity…it explains a lot. I imagine many don’t wash their private areas for fear of…you know.

Of course, these genital-obsessed freakazoids are mortally afraid that a man will just put on a dress and walk into the women’s room to molest girls. When caught, all he has to do is say he’s transgender.

This is what it boils down to for these idiots. They seem to be incapable of realizing that for many years they have ALREADY been sharing bathrooms with transgendered people, as well as gays and lesbians. People don’t go into bathrooms for sex, unless you’re a closeted Republican.

The whole focus on bathrooms is weird to me. They claim it is a safety issue but the sexual aspects of the arguments that are most disturbing. Having traveled around the world in my 60+ years, I have used unisex bathrooms in Asia and Europe. It is about needed to use the toilet, not focus on another person’s genitals.

But of course! Here’s how it’s done:

This story is a few years old, but still is worth reposting.

Now, now, that wouldn’t be considered Christian nor sporting to go that route. At least give him a head start…

That’s a feature, not a bug…

Trump does come off as at least somewhat progressive on this issue I guess. However, I think his advocacy for restrooms set aside for people with small hands is a bit much.

Common sense: grown men shouldn’t be in bathrooms w/ little girls.

He’s never changed a diaper in a changing room.

"My five-year-old knows the difference between boys and girls.

Does she really? Hmmm…

You’ve got the Obama education department suing to try to force junior highs to let teenage boys shower with teenage girls," Cruz told Beck. “That’s crazy. That’s not a reasonable position, and it is simply crazy.”

“We shouldn’t be facilitating putting little girls alone in a bathroom with grown adult men. That is just a bad, bad, bad idea,” he said.

“and again I ask ‘How will the lil dearies know?’”
