The embedded video doesnât work on my computer either. I trust the description and can only question why someone exercising their free speech gets hauled off and the person that assaults the protestor is not taken into custody. Typical strong-arm bullshit, where cops seem already to have taken a side before the situation is even investigated.

Just watched the video. As kicks go, that was a pretty anemic one. Not that that changes the fact that it was an assault and battery, it was. But the part that probably actually hurt a lot more, and could have injured the protester, was the guy pulling the protester backwards by his shirt collar, knocking him to the ground. The kick itself seemed pretty half-hearted, more symbolic than a real attempt to hurt or injure. Again, not excusing the kicker, he still should have been removed by the police, and the protester should have been asked if he wanted to press charges.

It would be interesting to see who the protestors are, IF they truly were protestors.
To my first point, encouraging such behavior by stating âitâs excitingâ from that stage could be deemed INCITING-RIOTâŚ

So in the Trump world ⌠patriotism means physically attacking people who donât think the same as they do ⌠USA. USA. USA, indeed. Trump has plugged into the worst of our society, and itâs not at all pretty. And the spooky thought is that he is so big on pushing their buttons, that it might end up getting REALLY ugly.

Two things are clear:
The police didnât seem to much care about the victim. They simply allowed the mob to rule.
Worse, the man behind thisâŚwho somehow believes he is qualified to be PresidentâŚdidnât even stoop to deplore the action.
Godwin doesnât apply when the comparison is both apt and appropriate. This is German politics circa 1931. The only thing missing is the Communists, and theyâve been replaced by anyone remotely humane.
