Discussion: CPAC Organizer: Yiannopoulos Broke Through 'Very Important Boundaries'

“Important boundaries?” As in boundaries of decency? Those boundaries do not exist at CPAC; Yiannopoulos is a perfect representative of the modern conservative movement…constantly on the make.

Exactly - CPAC admitted that they wanted to host Milo to poke a stick in UC Berkeley’s eye: “see? those liberal elites are the intolerant ones!”

Childishness. I’m glad it bit them in the rear.

Adults who are attracted to adolescents are ephebophiles (yes, there is a difference). We had one at my daughter’s school posing as a drama teacher - I got his ass fired. I found out from a very good source that he had been sleeping with adolescent girls and boys all over the high school for years. So, I did a very small amount of digging and found out he had been fired from his last job (teaching drama to students at a local theatre company) for getting caught having sex in the theater. I anonymously sent that tidbit of info to the superintendent and suggested they do a more thorough background check on this guy and within months the perv announced the school was not picking up his contract (he was freelance because drama is a club here, they’ll hire anyone).

Ephebophiles are adults that know how to manipulate a teenager into thinking the relationship is the teenager’s decision. Rarely will the victim admit he/she has had a relationship with the predator (they don’t want their boyfriend/girlfriend to get in trouble) because they believe the relationship to be consensual, when the predator knows it certainly is not.

As a parent of 2 teen girls, I hate these fuckers.

"…and it just broke through very important boundaries, and we felt like the CPAC stage was not an appropriate place for this any longer.”

He said the soft part loud?

So self-hate to Republicans is a very important boundary if you are gay. Good to know. Also fixed the damn headline for you.

He added later: “The fact is he’s got a voice that a lot of young people listen to. I would rather have our attendees hear it and make their own judgments than me censor them.”

Then why didn't you let attendees make their own judgment about his NAMBLA-esque remarks and keep his speaker slot?

GOP: We tried to help a white liberal Milo but he was too gay for us. Liberals just do not know how to learn. Liberals are genetically wired to be brain dead animals.

Isn’t there a deputy NSC position open? I think Milo and McMaster could have a special working relationship and make a cute foursome with Miller and Bannon…

And let’s not forget, if you’re a billionaire pedophile you can always get Ken Starr to help you out - http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/01/30/conservative-scold-ken-starr-got-a-billionaire-pedophile-off.html

They don’t want to be shocked. If he walked in and started insulting the pope and religious belief, for instance, he would be gone. Did CPAC defend the professor who wore a veil in solidarity with Muslim women who was fired by her Christian college? Oh no, they will only tolerate insults if they are directed at the right people in order to make it clear that they have the right to put THOSE people in their place.

In fairness – and I loathe the guy – Berkeley is a state run university with a proud and provocative tradition defending free speech. On the other hand, the student protesters did not shut Milo down and have as much right to protest his speech as he does to make it. Violent anarchists, on the other hand, are not a positive development no matter who they are against.

Host Joe Scarborough brought up accusations that Yiannopoulos had made anti-Semitic statements in the past. He asked if there wasn’t someone else to make the case against “PC” campus speech codes.

Again, Schlapp referenced Yiannopoulos’ large following.

“Joe, it’s a fair point.[/quote]

So, Scarborough and Schlapp agree: Speech codes are okay when Conservatives use them, but not when liberals do.

Got it.

So, basically, Insulting and threatening people of color to the point of intimidating an African American celebrity is a big part of their movement. They said it, we didn’t.

Thanks for the link. A brilliant, elucidating, horrifying read – yikes. The depth of despair that breeds this kind of male nihilism is a profound challenge for those of us with positive aspirations for our society and the world. Truly.

That’s what he said.

Boundaries? CPAC recognizes the existence of boundaries, a level of personal behavior or belief that is so universally acknowledged as repugnant and loathsome that they’ll kick you off their stage? Huh. Who knew? Let us see if we can demarcate these heretofore unknown “boundaries.”

Mocking the disabled? Nope. No boundary.
Advocating the incarceration of American citizens based solely on their ethnicity? Nope, not out of bounds.
White supremacism? Just mainstream conservatism.
Hitler apologist? Shucks, not even enough to get you kicked off MSNBC.
Ashley Judd Rape jokes? Yuk yuk yuk!

One wonders if he’d have been barred for talking about raping underage girls.
