Easy for you to say. They may sound like “brats” to you… but they’ll probably be struggling with many of the same problems and against the same sort of conservatives 50 or 60 years from now. Long after most of the anti-Bernie people here are long, long gone. When the generation now crossing the 70-year mark were the age of these “brats” that’s what they were called too when they protested the Vietnam war. And a lot of the problems of the 60s (war, racism, poverty) are still very much with us. All that generation got for their troubles (apart from being called brats) was Hubert Humphrey. Hopefully Hillary won’t be the same.

I resent your attitude. You should look into Hubert Humphrey. He was a great man. He was the FIRST Democrat who dared speak out for civil rights for African Americans at a Democratic Convention, and he was very brave to do so. He was booed and heckled mercilessly. Shows how little you know. He should have defeated Nixon, but the leftists of that generation, like those in 2000, had better things to do than to support the person who could actually defeat the right-winger.

For whom I wish they had voted in greater numbers. Because the guy who did win was not such a great guy. Just sayin’. On the other hand, you’ve unintentionally indicted the brats, yes, brats, of both generations more effectively than anyone else in the thread. Well done.

MSNBC chose three women who are Berniacs and they all said they will not vote for HRC. OK! They have not yet got around to understanding that Bernie lost.
