Is it the turtle just being his usual asshole self or does Trump have something on him?

Coons: McConnell âContinues To Do The Presidentâs Biddingâ By Blocking Mueller Bill
[/quote]McConnell still needs Trump to destroy our Constitution.
He added: âIâm puzzled by why the majority leader continues to do the Presidentâs bidding on this.â
No need to be disingenuous senator. You know better, and being polite is a waste of breath. Looking for bipartisanship from McConnell is like expecting honesty from Donald Trump. Not. Going. To. Happen.
McConnell doesnât give a flying fuck about anything but his own power within the Senate.
And he knows damned well that maintaining and increasing that power requires keeping Trump and all his supporters happy.
So thereâs nothing â nothing â McConnell wonât do toward those ends.
The turtle knows his power comes from the base of the GOP, which still eagerly supports Trump no matter what.
âIâm puzzled by why the majority leader continues to do the Presidentâs bidding on this.â
Nursemaids always protects their charges.
âMcConnell has gotten reassurances from the President that he wonât act against Mueller.â
And Mexicoâs gonna pay for a wall, also, too.
If history is kind, McConnell will go down as the biggest POS to ever lead the Senateâs majority party
Coons is starting to interest me. Lately heâs been showing up where the messaging needs to happen, doing that messaging. Key thing in the minority.
This story is almost a year old now. What are the chances McConnell and other Repug leaders are the subject of some of Muellerâs sealed indictments?
Iâve had the same thought a time or three over the past few months.
Letâs give full props to the right-wing voters of KY. They know this guy, and have been fine with him for decades.
Iâd certainly say non-zero, as in itâs a real possibility. There may well be evidence McConnell knew or suspected the Russians were channeling money to GOP candidates.
Khrushchev said:
âWe do not have to invade the U.SâŚWe will destroy you from within.â
I would say its much higher than that. The case that Ryan was at the very least aware that Russian money was being funneled into republican campaigns is pretty strong. We know they did through the NRA at the very least, and there is strong suspicion that they were just one of many outlets. The taped conversation with Ryan and GOP House leadership where they are talking about it and Ryan hurries to hush everyone up is pretty damning. And also pretty consistent with Ryanâs personal dislike for the fundraising aspects of being Speaker.
Not to mention we have had a slew of pretty strange retirements out of the HouseâŚChaffetz, Gowdy, Ryan to name some of the top eyebrow raising ones. Each of them is young, in leadership or well on their way, in very safe districtsâŚand each resigned for essentially no good reasons. That sort of stuff doesnât just happen.
And if Ryan knew, its pretty hard to believe that McConnell didnât know. Indeed, a case can be made that McConnell has taken a more vocal stance from the very beginning on trying to shut down these investigations than Ryan ever didâŚgoing all the way back to him telling Obama that he would make any news of the Russian interference a partisan issue, way back in 2016.
Absolutely. I also think McConnell understands that if they were to pass a bill protecting Mueller it would elicit a crazed and deranged response from PP in which he might actually turn on him. McConnell is up for reelection in 2020 and will need PPâs support in order to win. Plus, I wouldnât be surprised if he isât also protecting his caucus from facing primary challengers if they vote for the bill or an uphill climb in the general election if they vote against it.
The entire GOP have been acting guilty in regards to Russia.
