Discussion: Conway On Husband’s Tweets: ‘Disrespectful,’ ‘Violation Of Basic Decency, If Not Marital Vows’

I thought Hope Hicks was Trump’s Eva Braun…apparently it’s Kelly Ann Conway. Kelly Ann should hire Michael Cohen as her divorce attorney…he’ll figure a way to silence her hubby.

Marital vows? What about her confirmation?

She then turned back into her bat form and flew back to her crypt before the sun’s rays could destroy her.

Looks like Trump can wreck marriages that aren’t even his.

So freedom of speech is subordinate to marital vows?? KAC is truly a sick and twisted person.

The poor guy. He is finding out clearly who it is he married. Believe someone when they show you who they are.

She is part of the cult. She is getting a great salary to be mean, vindictive, dishonest and all the other stuff and she’s quite happy to do it.

Anyone see a divorce for these two in the future? This isn’t like the marriage between Mary Matalan and her husband. Those two have figured out how not to destroy each other. Conway is a viper. The husband may’ve always known so but didn’t want to admit it and now it’s there for all the world to see.

I honestly feel sorry for him. He was duped.

One of the interesting things about the article is that Kellyanne wants to be quoted off-the-record as “a person familiar with their relationship.” But she says this after the interview has started, and the reporter refuses to go along to his great credit!

Here it is:

Reporter: You told me you found [George’s tweets] disrespectful.

Kellyanne: It is disrespectful, it’s a violation of basic decency, certainly, if not marital vows . . . as “a person familiar with their relationship.”

Reporter: No, we’re on the record here. You can’t say after the fact “as someone familiar.”

Kellyanne: I told you everything about his tweets was off the record.

Reporter: No, that’s not true. That never happened.

Kellyanne: Well, people do see it this way. People do see it that way, I don’t say I do, but people see it that way.

Reporter: But I’m saying we never discussed everything about his tweets being off the record. There are certain things you said that I put off the record.

Kellyanne: Fine. I’ve never actually said what I think about it and I won’t say what I think about it, which tells you what I think about it.

Kellyanne’s last line is a brilliant piece of doublespeak.

Google “George Conway whitewater”; she’s an amateur compared to him in the sleazy viper sweepstakes.

She’s learned from the master.

Oh, she means her real husband, not her office husband?

But I have to think that if even HE doesn’t want to be associated with her in this venue, she’s gone a bridge too far.

Not a fan of these types of pieces. They tend to normalize two basically horrible people. George is a fan of Ann Coulter and was enthusiastic about Trump’s run for the presidency. By making Trump a bridge too far, it makes him seem somehow reasonable and Kellyanne as tolerant because she stays with him and jokes about their differences. I’ll welcome the verbal bombs he lobs at Trump (enemy of my enemy), but they are both deplorable and way outside the mainstream.

That Ms.Conway is a well trained lawyer is never reported. she is well aware of her part and certainly the President she “advises " conduct as regard to the rule of law. additionally she was raised in very modest circumstances by her mother and aunts. you would imagine women rights would appeal to her! I refer to her as the “pretend” Catholic. since she never adheres to the Gospels of Jesus Christ which is what the Church is based on. On a personal note she is Italian American which I am and she makes me ashamed, I believe as an ethnic Group we care about the Poor and disabled. those working to better themselves, and remember what our Immigrant grandparents faced when they arrived and were called horrible names. I have concluded her behavior reminds me from a line in Hamlet " the Spirt I have seen might be the devil, and the devil hath power” make your own conclusion about her, I already have and she will be judged by her works

That’s crazy! We’re way too smart to do such a thing.

If someone lied to me and the American people the way Conway has, I’d never give her the time of day again. What does the WAPO do? It gives Conway and her husband a fluff piece on the front page.

Yes that’s kind of a sleazy try on her part—kind of wish that was included in the article. (The TPM article I mean).

Wow. I would think a BIGGER ‘violation of marital vows’ would be to come out and lie and spin and defend a known liars right to spew garbage and then denigrate your spouse for criticizing him. Stand by MY sht but I don’t have to do the same???
