Discussion: Conway: 'Classic' Feminism Seems 'Anti-Male' And 'Pro-Abortion'

I don’t think anybody is ‘pro-abortion.’ People on the left, at least that I know, are pro-choice. Abortion needs to be one of the choices. I would much rather let Planned Parenthood do its work in preventing pregnancies so as to avoid abortion. Safe, legal, rare!

Wotta surprise… a Christian Dominionist says something stupid about women.

Why are lying asses like this woman even in front of the public? Simply because there are enough stoopids out there who find what she’s doing acceptable.

We’ve had enough. Bring her down by protesting her every appearance in the media.

Good old C-span; they sure cover the hell out of CPAC every year, don’t they? To the extent that I sometimes wonder if they are not an affiliate of Fox News. As an old, white, heterosexual male, I hope to hell that feminism is what Conway sees it as. Most of my white male compadres (McConnell, Trump, Cornyn, and all those other 70-somethings) have screwed things up so badly that it will take a female revolution to straighten them out. And don’t throw Madame Defarge at me, please. Even she is looking like a progressive thinker these days.

Being a bit of a statistics buff, I can produce the exact number of feminists who are “pro-abortion”: 0

You’re welcome, Kellyanne.

Indeed. It’s already in the works.

If C Span is where she is getting air time… she really has fallen.

What a coincidence; Conway “seems” like she’s “anti-female” and pro-stupid. Favoring a woman’s right to make her own medical decisions does not mean being “pro-abortion.” I guess her husband controls her choices, then. Glad we straightened that out. Now, go back to being “not sidelined,” please.

SO does this mean Kellyanne is pro choice?

Conway’s answer to all questions: “alt(no) facts to all of them”.

“Pro-abortion” erroneously implies that abortion is something feminists actually look forward to, and take pleasure in.

IOW, the way most Republicans are pro-death penalty.

KaC is such a flaming fucking cunt. “Classic” feminism is pro-equality for all and pro-bodily autonomy for all. Equality is NOT a zero sum proposition. Equal rights and equal justice for all does not somehow reduce the equality of men. It does reduce male power and the ability of males to use their power to harm and intimidate other people, which is very threatening to some men, but it is not anti-male and it does not reduce equality for men. As far as abortion is concerned, I doubt that there are many who are ‘pro-abortion,’ but one of the tenets of feminism is that ALL people should have the right of privacy and that medical decisions should be a matter for discussion between the patient and the doctor and, if so choosing, the patient’s family. It’s not KaC’s business and it’s not the gov’t’s business.

Typical Trumpian, Conservative, and Republican zero-sum thinking. Pro-Woman and Pro-Choice does not mean anti-male and pro-abortion.

Someone on this very forum once mused upon what it would be like if Ann Coulter got into an Administration.

Now we can say definitively.

“conservative feiminism” - at least with what “conservative” means in this country, that would be an oxymoron. Stress on the “moron” part.
