She must know that this is not true, that this is a lie. Her discussion of it is not something unconsidered. It’s very considered, and planned. She is a liar who uses lies to further her cause.

Couple of things - point one happened elsewhere to a good friend - he didn’t want to drink and drive, and it was less than a mile, but any pedestrian at night was suspect in that small town. Yes, he spent the night in jail.
Last point - that question isn’t always proselytizing in the South, it’s a really common question to ask someone you’ve just met. A way to figure out who they are and how they fit into the social structure - similar to asking where you work, but more polite. He may have been trying acculturate. Or proselytize.

Hasn’t this been the problem with most media from the beginning of Trump’s run? Neither he nor his staff have been challenged as to their knowledge, truthfulness, plans, etc.

Again seriously, we have to laugh to survive this but we’re hemorrhaging international respect and soft power every day. If we sobered up tomorrow and readopted a policy of adult leadership we might recover in 10 years or so. If this goes on it may take a generation or two.
